Rise and shine. The sirens that filled the streets on Friday have died down, allowing you to spend the morning peacefully despite the news. It isn't until 11 AM that an alarm goes off on everyone's phone, citing a reminder for the trial taking place at the courthouse at noon. It turns off soon, but pops back up every ten minutes to ensure that you don't forget.

Shortly before 12 PM, all heroes feel a compulsion to head to the courthouse, where the staff direct you to one of the courtrooms reserved for the day's events. Attendance is mandatory, it seems, and once everyone has arrived, the doors close and lock behind them.

Yesterday's investigation was only the beginning. The real work begins now.

Welcome to your week one trial! Over the next nine hours, characters will have the chance to investigate, and theorize about the murders, as well as examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations with NPC permission. As you gather evidence and discuss, we encourage you to revisit the investigation post to refamiliarize yourselves with the events of Friday morning.

There will be a mod-tag break between 5 PM EST / 2 PM PST to 6 PM EST / 3 PM PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

To vote for a culprit, head over to the voting page! Voting is mandatory in this game, so please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes at 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST.

[ Let's get down to business.

Axel has steeled himself just fine for this, so...

How's the body looking as it is? Immediate noticeable injuries? Strange things that can be viewed from the frontal position from potential exposed skin (face, etc.) and on clothing? Expression if that is relevant as well? ]

[ aight. forgive any typoes i make because my hand is wrapped, but let's do this.

at first glance, axel will see the small, golden dragon wings that ponta's had all week. as far as injuries go, there's blood on one leg and damage to ponta's head. ]

[ Alrighty then.

Let's check the leg first. What kind of damage is it?

Same for the head. Assuming it's at the front? If it's on the back or on the sides, can he move him slightly to get a better look? ]

[ it's a little hard to tell. it looks messy, but the damage does go through ponta's clothing and into the thigh. it's on the front left thigh.

for his head, the damage is on the temple. don't worry about which side. it looks like his temple got caved in? oof. there's also a bruise on his forehead. ]

Okay. He will take off the pants so he can get a better look at the injury. Can he see what's going on there a bit better?

Also how big is the bruise on the forehead? ]

[ forehead bruise looks fairly small.

with the pants off, axel sees that this leg wound is well and truly messy, like something's dug into the skin. it looks pretty deep, too. ]

Okay....first he is taking a photo of this just in case, idk. It seems like something a smart person would do.

Also wait, does it mean something is inside the skin/wound or just the wound is deep and messy? ]

[ well. how is he checking for something that could be inside the wound. ]

[ He doesn't want to mess up the wound but like...he is going to look closer at it. Like get up with his face to it. Just to categorize the size of the messy wound in its totality? So after he gets an estimation...

Can he pull whatever might be lodged in there out?

[ gross. but okay yea there does look to be something inside of it.

i'm guessing he's digging it out with fingies? it might mess up the wound a lil bit.

axel has acquired one (1) rubber projectile. ]

[ Yeah...what a time. But this is his life now. +1 bloody rubber projectile obtained...whatever this is...

Now, he will take off Ponta's shirt, socks, and shoes. Any other wounds or bruises that may make themselves noticeable after he does so, by the by? ]

[ before we move on i'll say that the wound seems slightly too big for whatever that thing is. moving on.

nothing draws immediate attention. where is axel looking? ]

Okay, he will be checking to see if...

There is nothing else on his face, ears, chest, feet or ankles, right? If he squints at them. What about his hands? Anything there? Underneath the fingernails? ]

[ as he checks the face, axel can see that ponta's lips are bloody.

his hands are currently in tight fists, so he cannot check ponta's nails. ]

[ Hm...before he goes look more into the face-

Can he uncurl Ponta's fists? ]

[ he'll have to pry them open with force.

if he does that, he'll find that there are fingernail marks in ponta's palms. ]

[ Hmm...then his own skin would be underneath the fingernails?

If there's nothing else weird about his palms, what about re-checking Ponta's face? His lips were bloody? Nothing weird inside his mouth, right? His nose is fine too? ]

his lips are bloody, but there is nothing in his mouth. his nose looks fine. ]

[ SJKNKSJG JUST TO MAKE SURE THOUGH...there is nothing weird underneath his fingernails, right? Because he'd check.

Also, if he checks his hair for anything weird will he find anything in it? ]

[ nothing weird under the fingernails. probably skin, maybe some blood, but that seems in line with the marks on his palms.

there may be some blood in his hair around the head wound, but that's about it. ]

[ How about if he turns him over? Will he see anything odd if he happens to do that? Any wounds/oddities/marks,etc. anywhere on the back including legs, arms, back of neck? He will move the hair out of the way if it is necessary too. ]

[ there doesn't appear to be anything on the back of the arms, legs, or neck.

there are his dragon wings? they're fairly small, though. ]
