Rise and shine. The sirens that filled the streets on Friday have died down, allowing you to spend the morning peacefully despite the news. It isn't until 11 AM that an alarm goes off on everyone's phone, citing a reminder for the trial taking place at the courthouse at noon. It turns off soon, but pops back up every ten minutes to ensure that you don't forget.

Shortly before 12 PM, all heroes feel a compulsion to head to the courthouse, where the staff direct you to one of the courtrooms reserved for the day's events. Attendance is mandatory, it seems, and once everyone has arrived, the doors close and lock behind them.

Yesterday's investigation was only the beginning. The real work begins now.

Welcome to your week one trial! Over the next nine hours, characters will have the chance to investigate, and theorize about the murders, as well as examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations with NPC permission. As you gather evidence and discuss, we encourage you to revisit the investigation post to refamiliarize yourselves with the events of Friday morning.

There will be a mod-tag break between 5 PM EST / 2 PM PST to 6 PM EST / 3 PM PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

To vote for a culprit, head over to the voting page! Voting is mandatory in this game, so please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes at 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST.

i'm guessing he's digging it out with fingies? it might mess up the wound a lil bit.

axel has acquired one (1) rubber projectile. ]

[ Yeah...what a time. But this is his life now. +1 bloody rubber projectile obtained...whatever this is...

Now, he will take off Ponta's shirt, socks, and shoes. Any other wounds or bruises that may make themselves noticeable after he does so, by the by? ]

[ before we move on i'll say that the wound seems slightly too big for whatever that thing is. moving on.

nothing draws immediate attention. where is axel looking? ]

Okay, he will be checking to see if...

There is nothing else on his face, ears, chest, feet or ankles, right? If he squints at them. What about his hands? Anything there? Underneath the fingernails? ]

[ as he checks the face, axel can see that ponta's lips are bloody.

his hands are currently in tight fists, so he cannot check ponta's nails. ]

[ Hm...before he goes look more into the face-

Can he uncurl Ponta's fists? ]

if he does that, he'll find that there are fingernail marks in ponta's palms. ]

[ Hmm...then his own skin would be underneath the fingernails?

If there's nothing else weird about his palms, what about re-checking Ponta's face? His lips were bloody? Nothing weird inside his mouth, right? His nose is fine too? ]

[ SJKNKSJG JUST TO MAKE SURE THOUGH...there is nothing weird underneath his fingernails, right? Because he'd check.

Also, if he checks his hair for anything weird will he find anything in it? ]

[ nothing weird under the fingernails. probably skin, maybe some blood, but that seems in line with the marks on his palms.

there may be some blood in his hair around the head wound, but that's about it. ]

[ How about if he turns him over? Will he see anything odd if he happens to do that? Any wounds/oddities/marks,etc. anywhere on the back including legs, arms, back of neck? He will move the hair out of the way if it is necessary too. ]

[ there doesn't appear to be anything on the back of the arms, legs, or neck.

there are his dragon wings? they're fairly small, though. ]

[ Is there anything off or odd about his dragon wings? Like are they still...whole? ]

[ Is there any strange stains on them? Also, nothing on shoulders, right? If he turns him back over, will he notice anything off about his eyes too? ]

[ no stains. on the shoulder is a fresh, circular scar. this is also reflected on the front (i didn't see this in the doc but i do now).

also this was in a different spot in the doc so i missed it gomen: ponta has a nasty claw-like scar on his leg. it doesn't look fresh, though.

nothing stands out about his eyes. ]

[ This circular scar...does it look like bite marks?? Or like some something circular hitting it? How big is it?

The claw-like scar doesn't look fresh, so like not a day old or anything, I assume. ]

[ there's nothing in the doc about bite marks so i sure hope not. size isn't mentioned either so do not mind palace about that i guess.

[ Axel thinking 'surely there will be nothing else weird going on'...and then reality saying nope.

[ It looks like it was obscured by the blood, but there's something protruding from the bend of his elbow. It looks like it's metal? ]

[ ... Axel REALLY hates his life right now, I guess, but um can he see what this metal thing is if he squints at it up close...? ]

[ To give full description because, it looks like it's been pushed in deep enough to hit bone. Pulling it out will reveal it's an IV needle. ]
