Sunday morning starts off quietly enough, almost peaceful after the events of the past few days. Today, the alarm on everyone's phone starts at 12 PM, with a reminder of the execution to take place at 1 PM at the stadium. Unlike the Saturday notifications, however, this is the only reminder you get. It appears that attendance is not mandatory this time.

Well. Not for all of you, anyway. One of you feels a compulsion to head to the stadium, heading straight inside and following the staff to ready themselves for what's to come. All others who arrive at the stadium, hero or civilian, are led to spectator seating.

As the clock strikes 1 PM, Kogitsunemaru walks into the arena. On the opposite end of the field, Jolyne steps out to greet them. As long as they both live, neither will able to leave the area, nor will any outsiders be able to enter.

You don't have to watch, of course. That's your choice. But with the event being broadcast all over the city, it may be hard to avoid. In-person or across town, everywhere is buzzing with gossip of the newly discovered villain about to face justice. Regardless of where you go or whether you choose to watch, the only thing to do now is wait.

[ well, here we are. all of his life choices have brought him to this moment. he seems rather calm for someone about to be executed in some sort of fashion but it's fine? he accepted that the minute he chose his target. right now his only focus is on who is on the the other side of the stadium.

at first, it's surprise. but then, it shifts, a complicated set of emotions forming on his face before its forced into some sort of neutrality. ]

So it's come to this, hm?

[ well. jolyne is walking into the arena looking like she is absolutely not dressed for the kendoing sport, but the field absolutely is with plenty of space in the center for a bout, and stands with kendo sticks for their use. she kind of gives the arena a long, and very fucking tired look... this girl has never held a sword in her life and she's going to have to now. probably?

whatever. she'll handle it. that's how she'd like to think.

lifting her head to give kogitsunemaru a long, narrowed look. ]

So it seems. Guess we should try and make this quick, huh?

[ gesturing with a tired sweep of her arm towards one of the racks of sticks, she'll just. grab one. yeah. it has a visible "hilt" but she is by no means any expert in how to hold it properly... or even what posture to assume. right now it is a hitting stick. ]

hung is standing as close to the barrier as he can physically get, arms crossed and claw-ish nails curled into his biceps as he vibrates in a constant state of no no no no that is deeply. deeply unhappy. ]

[ he's been quiet, the entire time. just watching. kogi killed, and so did lillium - and he has long been so, so tired of their friends having to kill each other for some fucked up, stupid quota that they've been forced into. he's so tired of having to see their friends fight to the death in an arena for a city's entertainment.

watching jolyne take flight, though, all he can think is go. ]

[ just very blunt. she's WORRIED about jolyne >:( ]

[ temenos is here! in his cleric clothes as always, staff laying across his lap. he's sitting a bit further back than he usually does, mouth pulled into a frown, just quietly watching.

even his thought bubble is just ... today. boy howdy here we go. ]

[ Hello, he's here in sunglasses, and just coming on over to him right now, to join him right by his side. ]

[ he's here and he's close to the barrier (with will behind him, likely) and when he spots jolyne he sort of just. thuds his forehead on the barrier and exhales loudly. gods. why!!

he doesn't bother hiding his thought bubble of don't hesitate. ]

[ They are also standing at the barrier, not the least bit sorry if they are blocking the view for anyone.

They are looking at Nico for a moment, wondering if they should say something. Deciding not to for the time being, but their thoughts will pop up with Little Bird before going to the match ]

[ phoenix stands close to the barrier, arms crossed to watch the execution play out, or maybe to hide the occasional spark that flies from their fingertips. ]

[Standing right next to them. It'll be okay buddy.]

[ What if they make a wall of people by the barrier?

They looking at Phoenix for a moment, but deciding not to step any closer for the time being. They can save the words for later ]

[ ...man. he doesn't think he really needs to worry too much about kogitsunemaru doing anything too shady here, so it should be fine, but. still just really sucks to see jolyne getting pushed into doing this. give the girl a break already. ]

[ Snake is not here today.

They don't fit through the entrance. ]

[ once more into "this sucks" central, honestly. she looks supremely unhappy when jolyne walks out, but doesn't say anything. it's not like they've been able to break through the barrier any other week. and it's jolyne. she's pretty confident she can hold her own. ]

[ Shows up wearing sunglasses, with a drink. Here even...as he absolutely. Abhors coming to these because fuck this noise.

Seems to freeze when he sees Jolyne up there with Kogitsunemaru HELLO? 'What the hell...', is where his thought bubble is.

Though at some point he pulls out something small out of his pocket, thumbing at it a little in his fingers, and then put it away. ]

[ danny is here, as usual, but sitting further than usual, higher up in the stands.

he watches everything down below unhappily, as always. ]

[ rita's here. she looks like she'd rather not be, as her gaze drifts away from the arena itself... but it looks like she plans on staying, if nothing else. ]

[she's here but she's kind of just lingering near nico, her hood up over ace's hat. she seems to be watching kogi pretty closely.]

[This time around Robin has eaten, slept, and has a bottle of water with her this time. She still has her sunglasses on as she walks in. She looks over in concern when she sees Jolyne in the arena this time. She looks around for a place to sit before takes a seat closer to the barrier.]

[ Execution is done. Rabbit remains there as everyone files out, before they also turn to leave. ]
