Early Friday morning, our heroes awaken to the moon setting, and finally, the freedom to leave the locations they fell asleep in the night before. It's a normal morning... if you ignore the sirens echoing through the city streets.

Police and prinnies have gathered in certain locations. With the sight of heroes giving them hope, they call upon you for help in searching for evidence, that we may all learn what happened on Thursday night.

So what are you waiting for? The investigation is yours.

Welcome, heroes, to your second investigation!

We will be posting top-levels for locations to be searched - one set at 6 PM EST / 3 PM PST and the second at 7 PM EST / 4 PM PST. Each block will run for two hours during which characters can search the locations for evidence related to the events of Thursday night, and each location will have something to find. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters.

Once the two hours are up - at 8 PM EST / 5 PM PST for block one and 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST for block two - threads will no longer receive mod tags and the investigation will conclude for the night. Whether you find everything is up to you, but don't worry if you don't! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial. At 9 PM EST / 6PM PST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s).

They can try to peek through the windows! It's actually easier to reach the windows here because all the bushes in front of it have been crushed flat. This window has broken glass for some season though. And it looks like the building isn't on fire, probably.]

Somebody broke in? [maybe they just demanded halloween decor. anyway its touch week so he kind of just puts on arm on ace's shoulder real quick because he's happy he's alive and then takes it away.

he's going to check out those bushes, then. is there anything notable about them besides being crushed flat? can he see the shape they were crushed in? is there anything in the bushes?]

Why break into this place? [ he barely knows halloween why is he even here. he'll go over to the window, checking to make sure he doesn't step on glass so he can peer in. about how badly broken is this window because if it's a big enough hole he is going right through it to get inside ]

also yeah danny is gonna enter the store too, he is so eager to get at that halloween decor ]

[The bushes have red flowers on them, and the flowers are also crushed. So sad. But it's hard to tell exactly what crushed the bushes, but they are very crushed.

There's broken glass right there so he would risk cutting himself going in. He could step about 5 feet to the right and go through the gaping hole where the door once was though, that's nice and open.

The glass is on the windowsill and on the floor inside. Danny can hop through the window if he wanted to. Looking inside, there is a bow on the ground right near the busted door hole.]

anyway i like that this mod tag did just assign danny hopping in through the broken window even though the door is open. reigen stares at danny like "what an idiot" and walks through the doorway.

[ ace was not assigned jumping through the window so he also gets to walk in through where the doorway used to be.

what's on the ceiling and also what's at the far end of the store because we're splitting up and ace is going over thataway ]

[ yeah! danny hops through the window like the idiot reigen knows he is, and somehow manages to do it gracefully with like, only one scrape on his arm from it!

i also like that this means ace entered through the door and just walked right past the bow with zero acknowledgement that it's there. danny however will pay attention to it--is it like a weapon bow or a ribbon bow? Does it have any damage on it? ]

[Inside it's...kind of scorched up! Like, there's not a lot of stuff here, but what is here has been burned. The fire seems to be mostly done but there are small objects (masks, decorations, etc.) here and there that are still on fire.

The ceiling has scorch marks on it too, and going further inside Ace can find some crushed glass on the floor.

Danny has found a weapon bow, and it seems to be all in one piece. It will need to be inspected further at trial though.]

[oh i was definitely picturing a ribbon. well. he steps over that and then walks over to look at the area of small objects and masks and decorations that is partially on fire. does anything stand out? can he grab a costume or something and try to kind of smother the fire?]

[ does the glass look like it's from the window or does it look like it's from something else. is there anything on the glass itself? what's around on the shelves near it?? ]

[ danny goes to pick it up but then hesitates, before grabbing it by the string, so as not to mess with anything that might be on the handle.

he looks further into the store, is there anything of note about the shelves themselves? any that are destroyed or broken or knocked down? ]

[There's no costumes in here, the store is pretty much empty. What is here is either burned up or burning right now. It's a small fire though, Reigen can probably stomp it out.

This glass looks different from the window glass. There is nothing visible on the glass, and there are no shelves nearby. It's pretty much an empty store with just a couple things on the floor, which got burned.

But since there are no shelves, Danny (and anyone who looks further in, past Ace) will see that there's something else further in. It's hard to tell what it is while over on this side though, it's dark in here.]

[he doesn't stomp it, he smothers it with a costume. trying not to break anything. once the fire is out, does he notice anything about the items that were burning?]

[ unless he's dead. that'd be awkward. anyway, no one has told ace that the phones are flashlights, so he's going to turn his hand into fire to become the makeshift torch and like. head further in because crushed glass isn't interesting and there's apparently something near the back i guess??? ]

[ danny will walk further in too, keeping an eye out for any particular scorch patterns or anything else on either the floor or the walls. and he WILL be using his phone's flash to aid in this ]

[There's no costumes in here for Reigen to smother the fire with. There's nothing particularly noteworthy about the items that are on fire, just that they're the remains of a much larger fire.

Ace and Danny get to the same idea at roughly the same idea. There are scorch marks around here as well, but the thing of note is a lump on the ground over there that is distinctly body-shaped.]

[ oh shit there they go to look at the body shaped lump. though since danny is using a real flashlight ace is going to. turn his fire off so we don't end up burning the store down a second time ]

[As the three of them walk up and shine their lights on this person, it's difficult to tell who this is. This body is so messed up, it's seriously bad. But not many people in this place have horns, so it's possible for them to identify this person.
