Early Friday morning, our heroes awaken to the moon setting, and finally, the freedom to leave the locations they fell asleep in the night before. It's a normal morning... if you ignore the sirens echoing through the city streets.

Police and prinnies have gathered in certain locations. With the sight of heroes giving them hope, they call upon you for help in searching for evidence, that we may all learn what happened on Thursday night.

So what are you waiting for? The investigation is yours.

Welcome, heroes, to your second investigation!

We will be posting top-levels for locations to be searched - one set at 6 PM EST / 3 PM PST and the second at 7 PM EST / 4 PM PST. Each block will run for two hours during which characters can search the locations for evidence related to the events of Thursday night, and each location will have something to find. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters.

Once the two hours are up - at 8 PM EST / 5 PM PST for block one and 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST for block two - threads will no longer receive mod tags and the investigation will conclude for the night. Whether you find everything is up to you, but don't worry if you don't! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial. At 9 PM EST / 6PM PST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s).

[ yeah! danny hops through the window like the idiot reigen knows he is, and somehow manages to do it gracefully with like, only one scrape on his arm from it!

i also like that this means ace entered through the door and just walked right past the bow with zero acknowledgement that it's there. danny however will pay attention to it--is it like a weapon bow or a ribbon bow? Does it have any damage on it? ]

[Inside it's...kind of scorched up! Like, there's not a lot of stuff here, but what is here has been burned. The fire seems to be mostly done but there are small objects (masks, decorations, etc.) here and there that are still on fire.

The ceiling has scorch marks on it too, and going further inside Ace can find some crushed glass on the floor.

Danny has found a weapon bow, and it seems to be all in one piece. It will need to be inspected further at trial though.]

...Huh. Careful.

[oh i was definitely picturing a ribbon. well. he steps over that and then walks over to look at the area of small objects and masks and decorations that is partially on fire. does anything stand out? can he grab a costume or something and try to kind of smother the fire?]

[ does the glass look like it's from the window or does it look like it's from something else. is there anything on the glass itself? what's around on the shelves near it?? ]

If you need help picking up anything...

[ he's fire. he doesn't care about more fire. ]

[ danny goes to pick it up but then hesitates, before grabbing it by the string, so as not to mess with anything that might be on the handle.

he looks further into the store, is there anything of note about the shelves themselves? any that are destroyed or broken or knocked down? ]

[There's no costumes in here, the store is pretty much empty. What is here is either burned up or burning right now. It's a small fire though, Reigen can probably stomp it out.

This glass looks different from the window glass. There is nothing visible on the glass, and there are no shelves nearby. It's pretty much an empty store with just a couple things on the floor, which got burned.

But since there are no shelves, Danny (and anyone who looks further in, past Ace) will see that there's something else further in. It's hard to tell what it is while over on this side though, it's dark in here.]

...I guess they aren't planning on opening any time soon.

[he doesn't stomp it, he smothers it with a costume. trying not to break anything. once the fire is out, does he notice anything about the items that were burning?]

Nico's going to be mad.

[ unless he's dead. that'd be awkward. anyway, no one has told ace that the phones are flashlights, so he's going to turn his hand into fire to become the makeshift torch and like. head further in because crushed glass isn't interesting and there's apparently something near the back i guess??? ]

[ incredibly sadly: ] There's not even any shelves...

[ danny will walk further in too, keeping an eye out for any particular scorch patterns or anything else on either the floor or the walls. and he WILL be using his phone's flash to aid in this ]

[There's no costumes in here for Reigen to smother the fire with. There's nothing particularly noteworthy about the items that are on fire, just that they're the remains of a much larger fire.

Ace and Danny get to the same idea at roughly the same idea. There are scorch marks around here as well, but the thing of note is a lump on the ground over there that is distinctly body-shaped.]

[cool well in that case he stomps them out i guess.

anyway, he sees them gathering and will rush over that way as well.]

Oh crap! Is that - who is it?

[ oh shit there they go to look at the body shaped lump. though since danny is using a real flashlight ace is going to. turn his fire off so we don't end up burning the store down a second time ]

[ I think we SHOULD burn it down, AND the body too!!

no, once ace stops his fire, danny takes a step closer and turns the flashlight on the body. who are we lookin at? ]

[As the three of them walk up and shine their lights on this person, it's difficult to tell who this is. This body is so messed up, it's seriously bad. But not many people in this place have horns, so it's possible for them to identify this person.

Satan is dead.]

[...hmm. well. he didn't want this? gross. he will just...look in the area around the body. is there anything else lying around nearby it?]

[ oh shit that's his roommate

oh shit that's cw: gore and the body looks bad in a way we don't get to know details of, so ace turns to danny who fights ghost and not dead bodies so ]

You don't have to look at it. [ you can leave teen boy from a children's cartoon ]

[ too late, teen boy from a children's cartoon is kneeling down to get a closer look ]

[ do we get to know any further details about this messed up body or nah? Or maybe what position it's posed in? What about blood, is there any pooling around him or blood trails or anything? ]

[There is a bit of blood around the body, which is unsurprising given the state of said body.

You do not get to know further details about the body. That's for body check tomorrow. Satan is laying face-up.]

[so there's nothing else on the ground or anywhere nearby?]

[ can ace go pick up some of the crushed glass. i guess. for tomorrow. ]

[ hmmm. takes a pic of the body just in case i guess ]
