After a weekend like that, maybe you're up for a little shopping? Good news is, that the Waterfront Shopping Mall has reopened this week. Go see a movie, adopt a pet, or maybe take some cute photos with friends! They can just hop on the S.U.P.E.R. to get to the new locations!

This week Aquamarine Fox, Cobalt Ox, Emerald Goat, and Gold Mouse can be found patrolling the city or watching construction.

If you wander the streets, you're sure to run into a prinny or two trying to sell you the Monday newspaper. Looks like there is something spicy this week! Luckily, you always seem to have the right amount of cash for such things.

Should heroes go stargazing at night, they will find that the moon appears to be in the waning crescent phase. Yes, all week. Villains tend to wander more at night, however, so the local authorities would suggest staying in after dark, unless you plan to try your hand at fighting crime. They welcome the help.

It appears that they have earned some new tokens to use on the AMAZOOM app. What cards will they get this week?

Looks like your luck is improving and you're starting to get to know each other better. Don't you feel closer to everyone already? This week, they will find themselves compelled to be physically affectionate in whatever way is appropriate. Hold hands!

[ well danny is here looking poorly rested, kinda disheveled, and gumpy about being made to wear his hero costume (literally the same as in canon) ]

Then we have to put together drinks on top of serving all the cake, though.

Maybe we can just. Tack on an eating-it-here surcharge?

[ He isn't sure why they're here... As heroes... Being a mascot is weird. ]

Drinks will keep them here longer because they'll be waiting on them. The cafe isn't too bad at dealing drinks out efficiently, but with cakes too I'd rather not risk them messing up orders.

[ And they want the crowd to keep moving. ]

[resumed]

[ danny your costume. it's okay, nico is here in his jeans, t-shirt and jacket combo because he refuses costumes. he lets his leg swing idly, watching the crowd and waving people through to the register. it's possible he's leaning on will if will is standing nearby. it's fine. ]

Or maybe a coupon to come back on another day? It gets them out and they still feel like they're getting something out of the deal. [ a pause. ] Maybe we should set up a table outside with samples of the cake just to cut down some of the crowd in here. If they like it, they'll come inside then instead of wasting time waiting around.

[stunwhistle]

Coupons work better, yeah.

[they can go with that!

Free samples are good too. If they've already tasted it, they'll know exactly what to order.

I like the samples idea. But I call dibs on not--

[ does a doubletake at one of the cafe tables ]

...is that Aquamarine Fox? What are they doing just sitting there?

[perennation]

Samples are a good idea. It'll keep traffic inside low and only buyers will be coming in—[ He snaps his attention to Danny, then to? "Fox?" ]

Watching, probably? It doesn't matter. [ he waves a hand. ] Two heroes outside with the samples, two inside inside.

[ AS THEY ARE PLANNING, one of them can notice one of the bookshelves wobbling and someone squeaking "oops." It's going to topple... Dominos... Soon. ]

[resumed]

[ he's about to agree with samples, too, but danny says fox and nico's eyes swivel over to where "fox" is just. truly vibing at one of the tables. ]

If they're here to supervise, they could at least stand to actually do some work, too. Isn't this their HQ? [ he's busy bitching and having a staring contest with fox so he does not notice the bookshelves wobbling yet, even though he does hear something in the background. ]

[stunwhistle]

[well



i rolled a perception check with a DC of 15 and then a check to dodge with a DC of 12 and will failed both of them so he does not notice the bookshelves wobbling in time to stop them and also does not move out of the way in time to avoid getting hit by them




he vanishes under the books.]

[ i didn't think we were in the damage range of the bookshelves but damb okay will. danny looks over just in time to watch him vanish. ]

...I think Will's dead.

[ and Fox bursts out in giggles ]

[ Wasn't Nico leaning on Will, which means they're both buried? It is just Danny and Lillium out here now unless Nico can claw his way out of there.

Anyway, Lillium was going to do something, but it's too late. Fox is laughing in the background while he's digging through the books. ]

The cafe is going to open soon!!

[ THEY ALL NEED TO BE ALIVE, but then the cafe opens without them being prepared. People are flooding in. There goes plans. ]

[resumed]

[ CHRIST. YEAH. THANKS BRITT NOW THEY ARE BOTH BURIED WHICH MEANS THERE'S AN INDIGNANT YELP.

under the books they go and nico's busy trying to push the books out of the way. ]

Okay, well, stall them! [ he says as another couple of books slide from the top of a pile and bury him again. ] The cake! Don't forget the cake and maybe tell Fox to quit laughing. [ there is such a strong urge to throw a book at fox but he's too stuck. ]

anyway will is laughing, too, but he's also trying to push some of the books off of nico. what about himself? nah, nico.]

Oh, this is going to be a disaster.

[but that just makes it more fun? anyway.]

[ sighs and then goes over to grab at whatever part of nico is currently accessible under the pile. he looks up at Lillium ]

Tell Fox that if they've got time to laugh, they've got time to...staff. I guess.

[ anyway he's gonna apply his intangibility to nico so he can get out of the bookshelf collapse. rip in fuck will now all that weight is bearing down on you and you alone ]

[perennation]

... I'm getting the feeling it isn't Fox.

[ Because the voice doesn't quite match, but he's helping Nico out and decides... Actually. Maybe Will can stay under the books if he's going to keep laughing. Lillium makes his way to the counter to pick up the samples on the tray to take outside, but...

Their imposter lets out a war cry after their laughter. Children appear out of nowhere. They're here to steal cakes. ]

[resumed]

[ judging from the fact he was busy using his hands to yeet books away, that's unfortunately what danny was grabbing without, like, thinking about it. so he's grabbed by the hand and pulled out of this pile of books as lillium's grabbing his arm and will is just. stuck. help. please help will. ]

I'm fine, I'm fine! [ he does not need both of you!! that's embarrassing, gods. he's kicking some of the books aside as lillium goes back to the counter. there are children swarming the cafe at the sight of free cake. their eyes...they hunger.

nico, meanwhile, is using his free hand to try and push more books out of the way so will can stand up and soon finds there's a problem. ]

You can let go now. [ does sticky happen with intangibility? i have no idea, you tell me. ]

[stunwhistle]

[will has been abandoned by everyone but nico, which is deserved, honestly. the war cry gets him to stop laughing, though, because wtf? nico's kicking clears enough of the books that he can actually get to his feet and start putting them away.



he stares at the children. the children are just heading RIGHT back behind the counter to help themselves to the cake. he's still up to his knees in books, so he cannot stop them.]

Hey, wait, kids! There's a line...

[that won't help.




he may also be side-eyeing danny and nico potentially holding hands and getting stickied together. does he need to be jealous?]

I already did, you're the one who's not letting--

Oh no. Not this again.

[ AND there's a swarm of ravenous children. ]

[perennation]

[ He is the target of a bunch of kids because they don't know these samples are free. ]

Why?! You can get a slice outside!

[ But Lillium is nimble, so he's dodging them with skill, but they're starting to realize they are here for Bigger Things. Whole Cakes. They're mixed with civilians who do want to buy cakes.

It is a mess. Stop wondering which boys are holding hands. Please clean the mess. ]

[resumed]

What do you mean again? [ you ever realize you only hold hands with one person and it's usually for long periods of time anyway. he's just shaking their limbs like this will help. ]

Whatever, never mind. Where did they even come from?! [ WHO INVITED CHILDREN. WHY DID FOX (?) BETRAY THEM?! the cakes, they are being looted. he's just diving forward to try and pull some of the children back while still being attached to another person. surely this will go well. ]

[stunwhistle]

[HE'S TRYING TO PUT THE BOOKS BACK ON THE SHELVES. unfortunately one of the children attempting to abscond with cake bumps into it as they're running away, which dumps all of the books he had gotten back onto the shelf right back onto the floor again.

he deadeyes them. why.]

Kids, can we just... chill out please...

[the kids ignore this. he will free himself from the pile of books and go over to grab two kids by the back of their t-shirt collars to pull them away from the cake display case, as if he is scruffing two naughty kittens, and takes them outside.]

It's--ugh, sometimes if you touch someone else you get stuck.

[ but yeah! hey! let's focus on these children instead!! danny is not convinced that talking will get the kids to back off. so instead he's going to make his way back behind the cake counter again (tugging nico along), where he rummages around to pull out...

a t-shirt gun! he hoists it up on his free shoulder, at the ready. ]

Okay, somebody load me up.

[perennation]

[ Lillium returns from putting the samples outside, which slows the traffic going into the cafe... He looks over to the other three boys and he isn't sure if they have this handled.

With a kid trying to run past him with a cake box, he snatches that. ]

Load you up with what exactly?!

[ Snatches another box, stacking it on the other. The kids are WHINING. ]

[resumed]

[ the books fall again. there are children with cake running for the door. his boyfriend's wrangling children who are likely trying to turn and kick and get away from him. nico, meanwhile, is pulled away from his target as danny suddenly pulls out-- ]

Where did you--nothing else in this city makes sense, so never mind! [ does this cafe have merch? it does now, because he's busy grabbing some storybook cafe shirts to start rolling them up. ]

Free merch out the door, that should distract them enough to get them away from the cakes. [ the thing is this is a stupid idea but it's the best kind of stupid idea? kids love free stuff. lillium comes back in and grabs the cake box, and he's watching this jenga stack appear. ]

Will, can you keep getting them outside? [ also where did the fake fox go. they're the true villain. ]

[stunwhistle]

Yeah, on - [a kid kicks him in the stomach. he wheezes.] - it!

[he does not yeet the kid out the door, although a teeny, tiny part of him is tempted to. instead, he scruffs the kids who are whining at lillium by the backs of their t-shirt collars and deposits them gently outside. he then points them in the direction of the line and explains that there will be free samples if they're patient.

heading back in, he will continue to herd kids out the door.

one of them stares directly at will, nico, danny, and lillium, stomps his foot, and screams at the top of his lungs:

"I WANT CAKE AND I WANT IT NOW!!!"]

I was thinking more like we sacrifice one of the cakes to shoot it at them, but sure, t-shirts work--

[ oh jesus that kid has a set of LUNGS, the shriek is so intense that danny jolts and pulls the trigger while his aim is off, absolutely hurling a shirt straight into this kid's face ]
