Sunday morning starts off quietly enough, almost peaceful after the events of the past few days. Today, the alarm on everyone's phone starts at 12 PM, with a reminder of the execution to take place at 1 PM at the stadium. Unlike the Saturday notifications, however, this is the only reminder you get. It appears that attendance is not mandatory this time.

Well. Not for all of you, anyway. One of you feels a compulsion to head to the stadium, heading straight inside and following the staff to ready themselves for what's to come. All others who arrive at the stadium, hero or civilian, are led to spectator seating.

As the clock strikes 1 PM, Argalia walks into the arena. On the opposite end of the field, Nimona steps out to greet them. As long as they both live, neither will able to leave the area, nor will any outsiders be able to enter.

You don't have to watch, of course. That's your choice. But with the event being broadcast all over the city, it may be hard to avoid. In-person or across town, everywhere is buzzing with gossip of the newly discovered villain about to face justice. Regardless of where you go or whether you choose to watch, the only thing to do now is wait.

Yes - the parameters are very tight. No real weapons, and the implication that you'll be expected to play along with something like this.

[ the flicker of the screens combined with argalia going over nimona is bad - his head whips around when they go out, and then the pole rears back, and he goes impossibly tense in the breath of a pause, with a: ]

[ (fantasy catholic voice) mother FUCKER ]

[ WENT THROUGH LIKE ALL FIVE STAGES OF GRIEF IN FIVE SECONDS WHEN NIMONA WAS JUST STANDING THERE but now she is a rhino and he's just. letting out the most exhausted breath ]

I'm going to strangle her when she's out.

[ there's the rhino. so many problems can be solved with rhinoceroses.

he exhales at exactly the same time as ace, shoulders slumping, and shakes his head. ]

I'll help. [ gods. ]

[ so many problems! all of the problems!! solved by rhino. ]

Really made us worry, huh? [ like they are not still a little worried it's fine ]

[ well. he winces a little at that rhino hit, if only because he's fought one of those before, and it's not fun to get smacked by one, and not out of sympathy, but... the wince is for nimona, too, for that noise.

the lighter, briefly relieved moment flickers, and his expression grows more troubled, a frown appearing on his face.
