Sunday morning starts off quietly enough, almost peaceful after the events of the past few days. Today, the alarm on everyone's phone starts at 12 PM, with a reminder of the execution to take place at 1 PM at the stadium. Unlike the Saturday notifications, however, this is the only reminder you get. It appears that attendance is not mandatory this time.

Well. Not for all of you, anyway. One of you feels a compulsion to head to the stadium, heading straight inside and following the staff to ready themselves for what's to come. All others who arrive at the stadium, hero or civilian, are led to spectator seating.

As the clock strikes 1 PM, Argalia walks into the arena. On the opposite end of the field, Nimona steps out to greet them. As long as they both live, neither will able to leave the area, nor will any outsiders be able to enter.

You don't have to watch, of course. That's your choice. But with the event being broadcast all over the city, it may be hard to avoid. In-person or across town, everywhere is buzzing with gossip of the newly discovered villain about to face justice. Regardless of where you go or whether you choose to watch, the only thing to do now is wait.

Hahaha... ah, I think some of us might be a little disappointed~

[his ever-present scythe is no longer with him, nor is the accessory he usually wears on one ear; he seems collected, though, despite what he knows they're here for, striding out with a little hum to himself.

the field this week is set up not for a sports day, but for... marching band? it's band. there are instruments arranged in patterns here and there on the field, various percussion instruments surrounding it, and as he steps forward to take it all in...

he makes a sweeping, elegant gesture with one gloved hand as he bows to nimona. blue waves ripple out from him, resonating, reaching those instruments and making the entire percussion section all reverberate at once in an unsettling but not entirely dissonant chorus, echoing and echoing around the field.]

Come, then. Share this last performance with me.

[ welp. this sure is optional and yet she is once again... here. she's gotta stop doing this. except she won't.

she just watches, tension clear throughout her entire posture as her gaze focused only on the two in the stadium before them. she's stood, leaning against a rail or something because the idea of sitting down sounds torturous, she wants to leap out of her skin. ]

[ well. his ears flatten against his hair, fur bristled where it's visible, and hung props his elbows on his knees, leaning forward and lacing his fingers over the top of his snout as he just. stares. at the arena.

he is sat as close to the front as he can be, but it doesn't really feel all that different from watching it on the TV in jail last week. ]

[squelching]

[hm. well. now it's her turn to look like the dog in those videos where the owners take off running in opposite directions. girl, help.

she's wearing a certain blue accessory on her ear today, phone face down on her lap, bummed out as heck while she watches the "performance."]

[Tiger is here, of course. They are sitting still in one of the seats and looks calm at a distance, but the distressed vibes coming off of them are apparent to anyone nearby.]

[ah. well. okay.

she seems surprised to be here, but not enough that it throws her off balance. she walks forward, glances up at the crowd almost nervously, and then looks at argalia. just in time for all the instruments to go off, which makes her jump. it's clear she doesn't really like being watched like this, but. whatever.

she promised. so.]

Yeah. Okay - how do you wanna do this?

[she's already pulling her phone out, actually.]

It's your show, man. You lead.

[will is here, more for the sake of whoever ends up executing argalia than for argalia himself. he's tense, drumming the fingers of one of his hands on his knee as he watches argalia step onto the field on one end and sees nimona appear on the other.

surprising no one, his other hand is occupied by holding onto nico's, and his grip on nico's hand tightens when nimona comes into view.]

[ hey, datz isn't behind bars this time.

he's standing somewhere against a wall, arms crossed and brow furrowed as he watches this. ]

[floridas]

[ at some point she'll probably just stand nearby and maybe put a hand gently on his shoulder to just squeeze softly. she doesn't want to sit, just wants to be nearby. ]

[Rita's hesitant to enter, and looks like she's about to turn right around and leave... but when she sees it's Nimona out there, she stops in the aisle and stares.]

[ crimson phoenix drops a hand on tiger's shoulder, giving it a light squeeze as they settle next them. ]

[ he will not make her sit, because she should be free to jitter her tension out.

but he does nudge his shoulder into her hand a little bit. haha bad. ]

You already know what I want, don't you?

[they've talked about it. she knows what he had to say, what he'd told her in particular about it.]

It'll be a little difficult, like this, but...

[he scans the field, searching; anything is an implement if you work at it, you know? he doesn't think either of them has any problems with that. when he finally lands on something, strolling over and leaning down to pick one up-

it's a flag, which he gives an experimental little spin before pointing it at her like it's a real weapon.]

[ he'll come put a hand on hanako's shoulder at some point. sorry you don't get to stab, buddy, but he hopes you beaned him good. ]

[ Snake is standing nearby an exit, watching the proceedings. It's difficult to tell what they think from the expression on their face. Their arms are crossed over their torso. ]

[ so this is what it's like to be on the audience side.

temenos is here like the others, sitting in the stands somewhere. his expression is impassive as ever, but he's focused as he watches, one hand gripped tightly on the staff of judgement across his lap.


edits my own comment. the hit from nimona followed by the head bonk does get a bit of a frown. ]

[ gonna probably look over at her worriedly from time to time... saya baby :( ]

[ Rabbit will settle in on the other side of Tiger. ]

[Robin almost turns back around, until she spots Saya. She'll walk over and take a seat next to her. She'll take off her sunglasses and place them on the top of her head as she watches. She's here for any support she can offer.]

[ seeing nimona jump like that, she clenches a fist tightly. she hates this, she hates it so much. she'll just squeeze hung's shoulder a little more and keep it there, tense. ]

he was already standing in spectator seating and he just walks closer when nimona is announced. that's what i thought you'd do you stupid city!!! angy!!! ]
