Week 6: Trial

week 6:
trial
Rise and shine. The sirens that filled the streets on Friday have died down, allowing you to spend the morning peacefully despite the news. It isn't until 11 AM that an alarm goes off on everyone's phone, citing a reminder for the trial taking place at the courthouse at noon. It turns off soon, but pops back up every ten minutes to ensure that you don't forget.
Shortly before 12 PM, all heroes feel a compulsion to head to the courthouse, where the staff direct you to one of the courtrooms reserved for the day's events. Attendance is mandatory, it seems, and once everyone has arrived, the doors close and lock behind them.
Yesterday's investigation was only the beginning. The real work begins now.
There will be a mod-tag break between 5 PM EST / 2 PM PST to 6 PM EST / 3 PM PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.
To vote for a culprit, head over to the voting page! Voting is mandatory in this game, so please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes at 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST.
Good luck, heroes!

Danny's breath doesn't smell like anything citrus. Vane had the tea, and Ponta had the soda.
So we're missing whoever had the juice.

[ ...Wait. ]
...You think that whoever had that would still have that scent on them somehow?
[ Like, you know. ]
no subject
I... don't super love this. But. I guess I could smell people to see if there's any juice smells lingering anywhere.

[ Like, before we make Hung start sniffing people's breaths. ]

Most people brush their teeth...

... You know, I've always wondered if these scents lingered as a caveat of our cases. Logically, most people would think to clean themselves of it - but if they didn't, the course of nature would normally perhaps wipe them away. But here, such doesn't seem to be the case - after all, our evidence remains perfectly preserved from Thursday night to Saturday.
I suppose if someone purposefully attempted to rid themselves of it, it would vanish. But if someone didn't, or didn't think to, perhaps it would not? This is merely conjecture, mind.

But it's weird, because tea oversteeps still. Maybe it being like that just tells us it wasn't freshly prepared before whatever timer kicks in on these crime scenes.

but also, i guess dogs love having jobs (affectionate.) she will come hold his hand and squeeze. ]
Thanks for checking...

he leans down to make it easier for her, squeezing back - but then blinking as his ear twitches. ]
... yeah. Of course. [ murmurs something back quietly, frowning. ]

If there is...

Yeah. Don't worry. C'mon, let's look at more evidence and we can go from there.
