Rise and shine. The sirens that filled the streets on Friday have died down, allowing you to spend the morning peacefully despite the news. It isn't until 11 AM that an alarm goes off on everyone's phone, citing a reminder for the trial taking place at the courthouse at noon. It turns off soon, but pops back up every ten minutes to ensure that you don't forget.

Shortly before 12 PM, all heroes feel a compulsion to head to the courthouse, where the staff direct you to one of the courtrooms reserved for the day's events. Attendance is mandatory, it seems, and once everyone has arrived, the doors close and lock behind them.

Yesterday's investigation was only the beginning. The real work begins now.

Welcome to your week one trial! Over the next nine hours, characters will have the chance to investigate, and theorize about the murders, as well as examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations with NPC permission. As you gather evidence and discuss, we encourage you to revisit the investigation post to refamiliarize yourselves with the events of Friday morning.

There will be a mod-tag break between 5 PM EST / 2 PM PST to 6 PM EST / 3 PM PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

To vote for a culprit, head over to the voting page! Voting is mandatory in this game, so please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes at 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST.

Yeah, as a last resort. But nothing we'd talked about would've resulted in three bodies.

What did you talk about? Nothing ever goes exactly according to plan, so even possibilities will help us.

...we talked about keeping it within the team if we ended up having to do something. So that the teammates of whoever died wouldn't feel like they needed to get revenge for it.

So Ponta and Vane might've...

...if it was what we talked about, only one of them should be dead. Not Danny. And not whichever of them died second.

[selfdestructs]

[ just puts a hand on his shoulder, upon hearing this exchange... frowns ]

he puts a hand on her hand when it's on his shoulder.]

So... someone else intervened...?

I don't know. I... just know what we talked about.

[resumed]

[ whenever hana's hand isn't on his shoulder, nico's chin is hooking over it to rest his head there and just be nearby for support while they're working through the information. ]

[stunwhistle]

[he will tilt his head so that it's resting against nico's and close his eyes.]

[ that's fine, he'll just turn it into a full-body drape then if will's doing that. ]

...we still don't have any leads on what might've happened either. Which of them might've taken out the other before getting got.

[stunwhistle]

The timing of it is just -

[he groans and buries his face in nico's shoulder.]

I know, the timeline's still tripping me up. That's what I'm trying to piece together, especially if Vane probably killed Danny as well. [ back to petting through his hair slowly. three bodies is still so much. ]

[stunwhistle]

[he breathes out as nico pets through his hair and tries to relax.



he does not look very relaxed.]

[ it's fine, he's just falling into a breathing pattern for will to follow and doing fuckall to let go of him until he's ready. ]

...all I can think is that whoever killed Vane wasn't a Fox, because all of the evidence stopped as far as a non-Fox could get without a dorm key. That's a start.

Is it more likely Ponta killed Vane, or Vane killed Ponta?

[ we have an hour, will. who do we focus on ]

I don't know, it's - I think we're more in the dark about what happened to Vane. We have more clues to figure out what happened with Ponta.

[hanaban]

With the time that we have left, let's focus on Ponta, then.

[ something something guns?? he doesn't know guns, he's not allowed inside the shooting range

he's got to go mind palace some more but before that he'll give will a hug, wrapping nico up in it too assuming he's also there ]

[he kind of freezes up at that



but after a moment he hugs hanako back]

[ what was that reaction, will. accept his hug ]

[he is accepting it! he's hugging back!!]

...Maybe the former.

I don't think Vane would have locked Ponta in a closet if he had killed him.
