Rise and shine. The sirens that filled the streets on Friday have died down, allowing you to spend the morning peacefully despite the news. It isn't until 11 AM that an alarm goes off on everyone's phone, citing a reminder for the trial taking place at the courthouse at noon. It turns off soon, but pops back up every ten minutes to ensure that you don't forget.

Shortly before 12 PM, all heroes feel a compulsion to head to the courthouse, where the staff direct you to one of the courtrooms reserved for the day's events. Attendance is mandatory, it seems, and once everyone has arrived, the doors close and lock behind them.

Yesterday's investigation was only the beginning. The real work begins now.

Welcome to your week one trial! Over the next nine hours, characters will have the chance to investigate, and theorize about the murders, as well as examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations with NPC permission. As you gather evidence and discuss, we encourage you to revisit the investigation post to refamiliarize yourselves with the events of Friday morning.

There will be a mod-tag break between 5 PM EST / 2 PM PST to 6 PM EST / 3 PM PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

To vote for a culprit, head over to the voting page! Voting is mandatory in this game, so please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes at 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST.

[ but, again. OOCly pazu is not really here and ICly he doesn't think either her or saya would do this. ]

It's entirely possible that the prints were faked somehow, too. The real trouble is all of us are asleep the whole time. It wouldn't be hard to...you know. Steal someone's shoes from their feet, use them for a murder, and then put them back on the sleeping person or something.

If it's someone with bigger feet, I'd think that they'd stretch the shoes somehow or maybe have marks on their feet from it. More stuff for us to check...

[ gotta do inventory, weapons, and strip after break. ]

But it's a big possibility.

...I was going to say maybe even the possibility of another fox mask, but that wasn't on our fun list of items for the week. So maybe not. We'll have to check everybody more closely.

[tongshi]

And no specific note about a possible team power, this time.

Mm... if someone's under an effect, I do still have Scan if we wind up needing to use it on someone, if we think maybe they're still cursed with a longer one. But I don't super think so.

[resumed]

Mm. I think...by now, we'd notice if someone's behavior was off-enough in a cursed sort of way. Let's keep that on the backburner but I don't super think so either. Danny's note in his phone talked about a wonderball, and if we're thinking whoever was involved there was involved with Vane, too...maybe we should be thinking if anyone was acting weird yesterday.

[ laughing weakly, because there's absolutely no humor to it. ]

I think everyone was pretty depressed yesterday, so. Hard to say.

Just yesterday, Hung? [ some of us have been depressed for a while and it shows my guy. ] But yeah...hard to say.

I think we've established by now I am really grasping at straws here to make any sense of this entire mess.

[ oh. well yes that is an effective way to shut him up considering it's break time and it means he can settle for a slightly longer kiss. thanks? he guesses??? ]

[ there's a joke about sunshine in here somewhere but i lost it, so i guess they're going to spend a good chunk of break just, as usual, being wrapped up in each other for a while and occasionally kissing. ]

[ it's break time which means mouse is no longer contained by jury box and will offer a hug if he wants one!

[ One armed hugs! They also have bits of sheer gold feathers sticking out where you can see their neck! ]

We're doing... [ Looking at Fox, Goat, and Ox ] We're doing. We're all super sad and worried about everything. I want to break down the doors or something... [ They don't want to be here any more ]

[ his bat wings flap a little anxiously. ]

I'd say we could call the whole thing off, but I doubt that's possible. And I think all of us want to figure out what's going on. Three is...a lot to deal with.

I think it'd still just be their regular sized foot anyway. The fox mask doesn't change how you are physically, it's just an illusion.

...oh, yeah. No, sorry, you're right. Disregard that. [ shaking his head to clear it. ] But that doesn't leave many options, I don't think any of the options it does leave are correct either.
