Week 6: Trial

week 6:

trial
   15 DOODZ REMAIN

Rise and shine. The sirens that filled the streets on Friday have died down, allowing you to spend the morning peacefully despite the news. It isn't until 11 AM that an alarm goes off on everyone's phone, citing a reminder for the trial taking place at the courthouse at noon. It turns off soon, but pops back up every ten minutes to ensure that you don't forget.

Shortly before 12 PM, all heroes feel a compulsion to head to the courthouse, where the staff direct you to one of the courtrooms reserved for the day's events. Attendance is mandatory, it seems, and once everyone has arrived, the doors close and lock behind them.

Yesterday's investigation was only the beginning. The real work begins now.
Welcome to your week one trial! Over the next nine hours, characters will have the chance to investigate, and theorize about the murders, as well as examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations with NPC permission. As you gather evidence and discuss, we encourage you to revisit the investigation post to refamiliarize yourselves with the events of Friday morning.

There will be a mod-tag break between 5 PM EST / 2 PM PST to 6 PM EST / 3 PM PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

To vote for a culprit, head over to the voting page! Voting is mandatory in this game, so please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes at 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST.

Good luck, heroes!

if we have the time -- but it wouldn't be there if it wasn't important. aaaaaagggh.

so, systematic and logical's probably the way to go yeah. figure out words, maybe the start and the end of the sentence, and maybe some of those clue cards can help? it seems like they're trying to tell us SOMETHING.

Gods. Okay. Well.

Maybe just making as many words as we can with these letters will work too. We should probably try for seven letter words, six letter words, and five letter words in addition to the two, three, and four we've got from the other blanks just in case to account for the quotes maybe being at the start and end of the sentence.

seven letter is a good starting point. there's gonna be less of those and then can work backwards from there

If it's a seven letter word that means the quote wouldn't be at the start and end of the sentence right?

Which would probably mean the four letter word is a two letter word with quotes around it?
