Rise and shine. The sirens that filled the streets on Friday have died down, allowing you to spend the morning peacefully despite the news. It isn't until 11 AM that an alarm goes off on everyone's phone, citing a reminder for the trial taking place at the courthouse at noon. It turns off soon, but pops back up every ten minutes to ensure that you don't forget.

Shortly before 12 PM, all heroes feel a compulsion to head to the courthouse, where the staff direct you to one of the courtrooms reserved for the day's events. Attendance is mandatory, it seems, and once everyone has arrived, the doors close and lock behind them.

Yesterday's investigation was only the beginning. The real work begins now.

Welcome to your week one trial! Over the next nine hours, characters will have the chance to investigate, and theorize about the murders, as well as examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations with NPC permission. As you gather evidence and discuss, we encourage you to revisit the investigation post to refamiliarize yourselves with the events of Friday morning.

There will be a mod-tag break between 5 PM EST / 2 PM PST to 6 PM EST / 3 PM PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

To vote for a culprit, head over to the voting page! Voting is mandatory in this game, so please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes at 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST.

none injuries. nothing of note and nothing suspicious. ]

[ - any broken nails if she examines her hands carefully? just 2 be thorough?
- any sensitive bumps or anything on her skull if she carefully passes her fingers through her hair/along her scalp? ]

[ nope and nope. she's all clear. ]

[will cooperates with strip check, as per usual! he strips down to his boxers, which puts his tattoo on full display. his shoes, socks, necklace, and three friendship bracelets stay on.

there are some extremely faded remnants of acid burns on his back and on his neck, a slash scar across his stomach, and a long scar on his right forearm; these all look a couple of weeks old.

on his neck, near where his neck meets his right shoulder, are two small puncture wounds spaced somewhat close together; they're healing over, and don't look super fresh, but also look more recent than the other scars.

he's also got some bruising on his upper arms - the bruises are small and somewhat elongated, and they look like they're a few days old.

his nails have been freshly repainted with the same design he's been sporting for a few weeks now: a sunburst on his left middle finger, a skull design on his left ring finger, and alternating light blue and light yellow for the rest of his fingers.

there are snake scales on his arms, wrists, and legs, in patches - and some snake scales creeping up the left side of his neck. one moment, his eyes are just normal; the next, they're snakelike and glowing with a faint light. then he blinks and they're normal again.]

- how recent do the puncture wounds look? like a week old? less than that?
- the bruising is elongated? how so, like narrow in shape almost? does it originate at some point? is it on both arms?
- whoa... snek. she carefully looks along his wrists and arms in general. anything to see there if she takes the time to examine along the scales and to the side of them? ]

[the puncture wounds look a little less than a week old!

the bruising is kind of narrow in shape. narrow and long-ish. it's on both arms, with four bruises on one side of each and one bruise on the other side of each. ten bruises in total.

snek! the scales themselves don't have anything there excpt, like, the scales... but before her very eyes some of them will start to fade away and others will start to form on other parts of his arms.]

[Gets behind the screen and takes off her heels, pants, and tank top. She wore her hair loose today, but she does part it to make it easier for people to search through.]

-Nope no new injuries though the tank top does show the faded one on her upper arm
-No broken nails or injuries along her hands
-She'll run her fingers through her hair like she's in a shampoo commercial but no bumps or tender areas

-It's fine, she doesn't smell like oranges the bottle she used said she's supposed to smell like lavender]

[ hung will let anyone check him for injuries and whatnot, taking out his ponytail and lowering his head to make it easier (or sitting if that'll help even more) when it comes to his head/hair, but. he'll take everything off down to his boxers. fit check if you want to look in his clothes. oh also he's got a draconic tail (second one) and bronze scales scattered all over his body, especially visible where his fur is shorter. there's also a weird kind of blackish decay that's spread even more since the beginning of the week and has sort of been increasing over the course of trial. it's probably fine.

blah blah pawed feet blah blah markings in the fur. he has some cat scratches on his arms but they're inconsequential.

older, scarred:
- gash through his right eyebrow down towards his jaw that just barely missed his eye due to angle
- left ear has a notch in it
- stab wounds in both forearms
- knifewound in his stomach
- varying sized cuts on his back, chest, and arms

a week old, a minor heal, and a remedy's worth of healing, stitched where possible:
- gunshot wound in back of right shoulder
- deep gunshot graze in left outer thigh
- scrape across left cheek
- gnarly healing wound in right side, from being gored
- slightly raised skin under fur on both legs and feet, along with irritated and cracked paw pads; all in line with first and some second degree electrical burns
- faint, branching lichtenberg figure-esque running up both legs if you look under his fur close enough
- pats on his body will get occasional winces still because the bruises are fading but not 100% gone ]

[well! well. will is examining all of this, his brows furrowing with concern. he keeps glancing at the blackish decay from time to time with worry.

anyway. as for the injuries...]

...you should take a remedy for some of these. They still look really painful, Hung.

... s'not real. [ gives him a tired smile. ] Just an imitation of something from home.

[ he's mostly just been ignoring it, frankly, but he knows that it doesn't look super great. ]

I was going to take a Remedy this week, but it's been alright. Pretty manageable. The two I bought went to people who needed them, too. I'll grab a new one on Monday.

[ she will let someone check her. she's wearing something simple today, except her shoes are cute and her hair is down. she will strip behind the screen for whoever.

- she has a scar in the center of her forehead that's messy-looking and circular in shape, she covers it mostly with her bangs, but it's still visible
- she has some light scarring on her left inner arm, but it's healed over nicely

otherwise everything else is as per usual. her butterfly knife tattoo on her arm, her butterfly wing tattoo on her back, and her older scars on her belly. ]

holds her hands out so she can check hands first! how's nails looking? clean, polished, chipped at all?
and then moving onto her hair, just checking for lumps/bumps and sensitive spots on her noggin. ]

[ she'll strip behind the screen, but ultimately doesn't mind who checks her. here is her fit check, she's got a pair of fluffy bunny ears, with a matching tail!

she's got the same old scars from before, with week old injuries! multiple gunshot wounds that look to be healing nicely, bruises that are barely there anymore, and the cut on her cheek is scabbed over. oh and her hair is a bit shorter than it was before.

- pets the bunny ears because she absolutely must
- she'll check on her injuries that she saw already post her cyoa. do they look pretty normal?

[ Okay here he is! He takes off his jacket, then his shirt, as well as rolling up his pants, whathaveyou.

He doesn't have anything really new. There are like faded scars from last week:

Very faded healing marks on his right side. Not slash-marks from a blade but too thin to be anything from a normal creature's claw. Right shoulder from a near miss with a bullet from that time too but it is probably less pronounced.

Anything else, nothing is happening. ]

[ - Yep, it is definitely fading/healing properly, nothing amiss from the healing CYOA wounds.
- He'll let him look as usual; nothing strange is going on with his hair, so all good there.
- Puts hands out. No hidden confession notes or any weird stuff like blood/scrapes. All clear here ]

[ he's wearing a jacket over an orange flannel shirt, but will take both off and roll his pants up to the knees.

He has a bullet wound in his right shoulder that's pretty fresh but also healed over some thanks to a remedy, and a graze wound on his left arm. there's a slight bruise on the inside of his right elbow consistent with having recently had an IV in, and his left wrist has a some kind of chafing around it. he still has a nasty black eye, though it's a few days old and starting to change color.

nothing on his legs, and everything is faded scars that are more than a week old.

he also still has some dragon scales though the yak horns apparently wore off at some point. ]

- checking to make sure that his injuries are ok. the injuries that are fresher are in line with what he peeped during CYOA return on thursday, the older ones are old old or from his other CYOA, etc.
- will check his hair and scalp if allowed, for bumps, scrapes, bruises, debris, etc.
- also offers hands for fingies and hand check, for anything that's under his nails, on his palms, the usual rundown. ]

[ yep, the fresh ones are all from cyoa on thursday, and the older ones are from the previous cyoa or older and have always been around.

hair is normal length again now that the yak horns are gone and has nothing unexpected stuck in it; no bumps, bruises or injuries on his scalp (though maybe some dragon scales extend up there).

nothing under his nails besides standard dirt you might pick up over the course of the day, hands are pretty rough and callused as always. no injuries/marks/whatever. ]

[ The usual conservative strip level he typically offers, sleeves and tummy etc. He's still got faded scratch and bite marks but they're well on their way to healing. ]
