Rise and shine. The sirens that filled the streets on Friday have died down, allowing you to spend the morning peacefully despite the news. It isn't until 11 AM that an alarm goes off on everyone's phone, citing a reminder for the trial taking place at the courthouse at noon. It turns off soon, but pops back up every ten minutes to ensure that you don't forget.

Shortly before 12 PM, all heroes feel a compulsion to head to the courthouse, where the staff direct you to one of the courtrooms reserved for the day's events. Attendance is mandatory, it seems, and once everyone has arrived, the doors close and lock behind them.

Yesterday's investigation was only the beginning. The real work begins now.

Welcome to your week one trial! Over the next nine hours, characters will have the chance to investigate, and theorize about the murders, as well as examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations with NPC permission. As you gather evidence and discuss, we encourage you to revisit the investigation post to refamiliarize yourselves with the events of Friday morning.

There will be a mod-tag break between 5 PM EST / 2 PM PST to 6 PM EST / 3 PM PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

To vote for a culprit, head over to the voting page! Voting is mandatory in this game, so please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes at 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST.

Mm. I think...by now, we'd notice if someone's behavior was off-enough in a cursed sort of way. Let's keep that on the backburner but I don't super think so either. Danny's note in his phone talked about a wonderball, and if we're thinking whoever was involved there was involved with Vane, too...maybe we should be thinking if anyone was acting weird yesterday.

[ laughing weakly, because there's absolutely no humor to it. ]

I think everyone was pretty depressed yesterday, so. Hard to say.

Just yesterday, Hung? [ some of us have been depressed for a while and it shows my guy. ] But yeah...hard to say.

I think we've established by now I am really grasping at straws here to make any sense of this entire mess.

[ oh. well yes that is an effective way to shut him up considering it's break time and it means he can settle for a slightly longer kiss. thanks? he guesses??? ]

[ there's a joke about sunshine in here somewhere but i lost it, so i guess they're going to spend a good chunk of break just, as usual, being wrapped up in each other for a while and occasionally kissing. ]

[yeah that's the excuse for why tags from us dry up for an hour every trial they just spend an hour making out]

[ stop they have to breathe at some point. but there is a lull in things which means he's just settling himself in will's lap again (his rightful place, thanks) and using his bat wings to kind of shield them from other people for a bit. does that stop him from delivering affection? no. does it stop him from accepting it from will? also no. but he's worming his arms around his waist to hold onto him and be a good support bf for this trying trial. ]

[will is 100% okay with this, yeah. he is fully glad to just let his lap be a chair for nico whenever he wants to sit down.

it's fine. everything is fine. they're totally okay. he sighs a little when nico uses his wings to kind of block them out and wraps his arms around nico's waist in return, settling his head on nico's shoulder and holding on tight.]

[ you know. power nap time, let's go. that is absolutely what he's preparing to do, settling against will and not letting go and closing his eyes for a bit. just for a little with... ]

I'd say we could call the whole thing off, but I doubt that's possible. And I think all of us want to figure out what's going on. Three is...a lot to deal with.

It's so much and it's really, really hard to try to see any positive side to this. [ Besides Will and Nico smooches! ]

Well...I wish I had something better or more optimistic for you, but that's never been my strong suit. Sorry, Mouse. Just a few more hours.

It's okay... I'll focus on the fact that it's almost over then and that we can beat up the moon soon.
