Rise and shine. The sirens that filled the streets on Friday have died down, allowing you to spend the morning peacefully despite the news. It isn't until 11 AM that an alarm goes off on everyone's phone, citing a reminder for the trial taking place at the courthouse at noon. It turns off soon, but pops back up every ten minutes to ensure that you don't forget.

Shortly before 12 PM, all heroes feel a compulsion to head to the courthouse, where the staff direct you to one of the courtrooms reserved for the day's events. Attendance is mandatory, it seems, and once everyone has arrived, the doors close and lock behind them.

Yesterday's investigation was only the beginning. The real work begins now.

Welcome to your week one trial! Over the next nine hours, characters will have the chance to investigate, and theorize about the murders, as well as examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations with NPC permission. As you gather evidence and discuss, we encourage you to revisit the investigation post to refamiliarize yourselves with the events of Friday morning.

There will be a mod-tag break between 5 PM EST / 2 PM PST to 6 PM EST / 3 PM PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

To vote for a culprit, head over to the voting page! Voting is mandatory in this game, so please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes at 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST.

There was, yes.

So those are probably his. But the smaller set doesn't make sense to me.

They were between the elevator and the seating area in the dorm...

Wait, no... the blood was between the elevator and the seating area. I guess the footprints could have come from the door or there, but I'm not really sure.

They were aimed at the elevator, though.

We can check the tread of his shoes against the prints, if they're clear enough.

The smaller prints are confusing, though. Saya would just get it over with, and Rita... she just came back from a really bad trip. I couldn't see her doing it.

Is it someone impersonating another person?

...could be. I mean, even if you've got significantly bigger feet - you can kind of shove your feet into a smaller pair of shoes and then just have your heels over the backs of them. It's not comfortable, but it'd have your heels raised up off the ground so you wouldn't leave a mark there, and if you're just planting evidence you wouldn't have to do it for long.

The gait might be a little weird if that were the case, but it'd at least maybe explain some things. Especially with all these weird puzzles and stuff going on.

...maybe, I guess. This is all really convoluted.

It's a lot of... subterfuge? Whoever was involved in this really went to a lot of trouble.

... Ponta was concerned about the quota, but you and Temenos both talked to him about it and he wouldn't turn around and do something like control Vane.

It's been at the least, a regular thing that it could actively threaten people to kill.

And besides that, there were records that people acted strangely during the full moon.

I mean, there's always records of that though, right? Like, that's a classic superstition thing.
