Rise and shine. The sirens that filled the streets on Friday have died down, allowing you to spend the morning peacefully despite the news. It isn't until 11 AM that an alarm goes off on everyone's phone, citing a reminder for the trial taking place at the courthouse at noon. It turns off soon, but pops back up every ten minutes to ensure that you don't forget.

Shortly before 12 PM, all heroes feel a compulsion to head to the courthouse, where the staff direct you to one of the courtrooms reserved for the day's events. Attendance is mandatory, it seems, and once everyone has arrived, the doors close and lock behind them.

Yesterday's investigation was only the beginning. The real work begins now.

Welcome to your week one trial! Over the next nine hours, characters will have the chance to investigate, and theorize about the murders, as well as examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations with NPC permission. As you gather evidence and discuss, we encourage you to revisit the investigation post to refamiliarize yourselves with the events of Friday morning.

There will be a mod-tag break between 5 PM EST / 2 PM PST to 6 PM EST / 3 PM PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

To vote for a culprit, head over to the voting page! Voting is mandatory in this game, so please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes at 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST.

So, that's probably why the purikura booths were on fire when we got there. It's votatile stuff.

...what kind of gunpowder do the guns we can buy from Amazoom use?

Uh... I'd say I'm decently sure, that unless someone specifically bought a gun from before the 20th century, it's probably going to be white.

...right. Then anyone theoretically could have had access to this, so it being the more modern kind doesn't really help us narrow anything down.

I don't think you can just buy only gunpowder off of Amazoom though, so it's weird that it's just powder.

Is there any way to get it out of a gun after you buy one? Or. The bullets, I guess?

The powder would be sealed inside of the casing, so you'd have to break open every single bullet in order to get it out, and even then, it wouldn't be a lot... let me ask the team really quick. I don't want to just write off being unable to buy gunpowder since nobody's really asked about that specifically yet.

Ugh. Ox just told me you can potentially get pure gunpowder through... "recollection" or "memory lane".

It's not hard to use plyers or something to open up bullets, but that's... tedious.

I'll check the photo I took for how much gunpowder there was at the booths.

Only a small amount, so I think it could be possible to have pried the bullets open. But, again, tedious.

I wonder what they were trying to burn with such a small amount... maybe a matching photo to the one of Danny being pulled out of the booth..? And the booths were collateral?

I've never bought one either. But, yeah. I'd assume it would be a modern style gun. An old one would be very identifiable.

...so it'd be harder to narrow down like this.

Yeah. Especially if there was a ring or trail of it around there. We're lucky it didn't catch while we were putting out the fire.

If it was deliberately placed, it makes me wonder if they were trying to hide something... but you only found that photo of Danny in the booth, didn't you?

Mm. [ goes to take a peek at the photo he took of the booths and frowns ] There were the props, but they weren't really in the booths. Just the photo. And there was only a small amount of gunpowder...

Have we examined the props yet? I wonder if there's something on or in one of them...

A couple. We can take a look. [ we only brought back the feather boa and the star glasses danny was wearing at the time so if we want to rock paper scissors for em ]

Might as well check everything we can.
