Rise and shine. The sirens that filled the streets on Friday have died down, allowing you to spend the morning peacefully despite the news. It isn't until 11 AM that an alarm goes off on everyone's phone, citing a reminder for the trial taking place at the courthouse at noon. It turns off soon, but pops back up every ten minutes to ensure that you don't forget.

Shortly before 12 PM, all heroes feel a compulsion to head to the courthouse, where the staff direct you to one of the courtrooms reserved for the day's events. Attendance is mandatory, it seems, and once everyone has arrived, the doors close and lock behind them.

Yesterday's investigation was only the beginning. The real work begins now.

Welcome to your week one trial! Over the next nine hours, characters will have the chance to investigate, and theorize about the murders, as well as examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations with NPC permission. As you gather evidence and discuss, we encourage you to revisit the investigation post to refamiliarize yourselves with the events of Friday morning.

There will be a mod-tag break between 5 PM EST / 2 PM PST to 6 PM EST / 3 PM PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

To vote for a culprit, head over to the voting page! Voting is mandatory in this game, so please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes at 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST.

Sorry, I tasted evidence again.

[ he'll just come clean with that. ]

The three cups from the laser tag place were orange juice, orange tea, and orange soda. Nothing weird happened, fortunately, but pretty sure that means Ponta was there at some point. Maybe with one or two other people.

Given the amount of times we've had things like case overlap, and uh... certain motivations, I think that's going to be more than likely.

[ you were busy playing murdle, he skittered over. ]

So I guess we just. Keep that in mind for right now.

There were three sets of clothes at the laser tag place, weren't there?

[ As he is checking it. ]

Yeah! Can see if any of them smell like citrus.

[stunwhistle]

...maybe he didn't drink it? Maybe he had the liquid in there to try to defend himself with...?

[tongshi]

I've never smelled or, er, tasted the orange soda he usually carries around. I didn't taste anything weird but if we find anything citrusy then we'll know.

[stunwhistle]

...yeah. It'll definitely be some kind of clue if we find anything that smells like that anywhere else.

[tongshi]

[ nods as ryuki heads over to check the gear ]

We'll figure out what happened, to all of them. And Mr. Are'bal and Tama will find Ponta.

[stunwhistle]

[he nods]

Yeah. We'll figure it out.

[floridas]

[ disappointment........ in her eyes...... you idiot.... but at least he seems okay so it's fine I GUESS!!!!! ]

Wasn't his ability all about manipulating orange... soda...?

[ did u sip his orange soda. ]

[tongshi]

[ shrugs at her like. look. it's gonna be a long trial. do what you gotta. ]

Yeah. But I'm not sure if that was it or not. Let's keep our noses ready for anything that smells like citrus.

[floridas]

[ she understands, there are three people dead :nyeh: ]

Good idea. It's a pretty distinct smell. I'll keep my nose sharp, I guess... hah.

[tongshi]

[ holds her hand for a moment so they can just vibe before diving into their evidence. his head hurts. he hates puzzles now. ]

Mr. Ryuki is going to check the gear from the laser tag place, so maybe we'll come up with something?

[floridas]

[ she will hold his hand, of course, squeezing a little bit and leaning for a minute. ]

Hopefully by then Tama and Datz'll be back... we can find Ponta's body then...

[ looks into the void of ponta's body not being brought back ]
