Rise and shine. The sirens that filled the streets on Friday have died down, allowing you to spend the morning peacefully despite the news. It isn't until 11 AM that an alarm goes off on everyone's phone, citing a reminder for the trial taking place at the courthouse at noon. It turns off soon, but pops back up every ten minutes to ensure that you don't forget.

Shortly before 12 PM, all heroes feel a compulsion to head to the courthouse, where the staff direct you to one of the courtrooms reserved for the day's events. Attendance is mandatory, it seems, and once everyone has arrived, the doors close and lock behind them.

Yesterday's investigation was only the beginning. The real work begins now.

Welcome to your week one trial! Over the next nine hours, characters will have the chance to investigate, and theorize about the murders, as well as examine the body of the victim and explore relevant locations with NPC permission. As you gather evidence and discuss, we encourage you to revisit the investigation post to refamiliarize yourselves with the events of Friday morning.

There will be a mod-tag break between 5 PM EST / 2 PM PST to 6 PM EST / 3 PM PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

To vote for a culprit, head over to the voting page! Voting is mandatory in this game, so please be sure that your vote is in by the time trial finishes at 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST.

[ so with that in mind, she and temenos' "9, 7, 3, 4, News" clue are going into the warehouse and she's going straight for the locked cabinet to input that 9734 code and see where that gets her. ]

[ okay actually he's just going to send that to the network for everyone to deal with and think about it while he goes inside and looks at other things.

there were other cabinets that weren't locked that didn't get investigated yesterday, right? can he check one of those? ]

[ He can check. Most of them are filled with building supplies, nails and hammers and such, but one of them has a note taped on the inside of the door.

A witness claims to have overheard a female-sounding voice say, "I'll get my revenge with my bare hands!"

The lock opens with 4937. Inside of the locked supply cabinet is a walkie-talkie. Datz would know this looks like the one he found at the shooting range yesterday.

There is also a trashcan in near the cabinets.]

[ uhhhhhhhhhhh ok pockets that i guess... this note is typed like the one he found in the archery room, not handwritten?

that's the only thing to find inside these other cabinets? ]

Oh, you got it open? [ ... ] Hey, is that the other half of the one from the shooting range?

[ anyway i'll go dumpster diving so tama doesn't have to; looking in the trash can, is there something obvious right on top or does he need to dig around in there? ]

[ she'll pick up the walkie talkie with her sleeves so she's not touching it and turn it over a couple of times, looking for anything on it -- blood, orange soda, a code for the shooting range lock... ]

Did you find something in the cabinets?

[ This note is also typed, not handwritten. It's the only thing to find inside of the other cabinets.

Looking at the trash can, there's several crumpled up pieces of paper and also a can of black spray paint.

It is just a walkie-talkie. It doesn't look damaged. ]

Yeah, there was another weird typed note in there like the one I found at the range yesterday? Taped to the inside of one of the drawers. Didn't see anything else that looked relevant in there, though.

[ pulls out the spray paint can and the crumpled papers... ]

Think there's anything in these?

[ let's uncrumple these papers like opening the shittiest christmas presents in the world, is there anything in these or just paper ]

Might as well read them, as we've had typed notes in other locations. Maybe these were first drafts.

[ while she's here, can she get a full list of each number and the location they're written around the warehouse?

like, i know three is over the door on the entrance wall, and 'news' is written on the ceiling... ]

[ Most of the papers are blank.

One of the crumpled papers has another typed note: The tallest person and the shortest person are known for their self-control.

The number 9 was spray painted on the wall across from the entrance.

The number 7 was spray painted on the wall to the right of the entrance.

The number 4 was spray painted on the wall to the left of the entrance.

The number 3 was spray painted in the wall above the entrance.

All the spray painting is in black. ]

Okay.... Uh. I dunno what else we're doing here, honestly... do we need to solve that thing outside first?

[ are there any other things to look at in here? any shelves? equipment? ]

I hope not, that's going to take a while to sort out.

okay, general sweep, is there anything else (among us voice) sus that temenos and axel didn't find and they have also not spotted yet. her tama eyes are Seeking. ]

It's not ideal, but if we need to someone can always run back once we have the hangman code sorted.

A prinny comes up and hands them the compass. Since they've already found everything, they no longer need it. ]
