anyway i have nothing else to say other than he is absolutely setting up a skeleton army. are they wearing silly costumes? yes. is he making them posed into the thriller dance? also yes. is he just extremely bored and thinks this is a good use of his time? eh, yeah, kind of.

Like a unicorn? I don't think I've seen a skeleton version...but yeah, let's do it. Doesn't make sense to leave them out just because they have two legs instead of two.

Okay! Is that what they are called? [ They will wander towards the back before bringing a skeleton gnome! ] What about these?

Probably. There are a few one-horned animals but that sounds about right. [ anyway this is an abomination to imagine and he's staring at the gnome for a moment like he's trying to decide.

unfortunately, he is more of a gremlin than i am which is why he grins. ]

This...is hideous. And I love it. I want to put at least six of them front and center of the skeletons.

[ it's absolutely the one with the hat bones now. and so they watch mouse scurry off to get more of these creatures as he's busy adjusting the skeletons to make room for everyone. ]

Perfect. This is an even better work of art. [ this is so stupid and it's such a good distraction, actually. ]

[she is not lifting a single finger to help, but she does pull out her phone to one-handedly snap some pictures of the skeletons. this is her very important contribution to skeleton thriller.]

[ that's fair and she's allowed. he's busy posing his skellies while she takes pictures. ]

These ones are a little easier to manipulate, at least. [ the cocoa puff chirps a greeting at saya. ]

[ he's coming over to plunk a tophat on one of these artfully posed skeletons. ]

[ this is a fancy skeleton that will go well with his posh cowboy skeleton, thanks. he mutters something in ancient greek that is definitely not kid-friendly, but he does grin. ]

Death to the moon. You think? It's more impressive when they're actually real and I can control them but I suppose this will have to do for now.

Did kind of a deep dive into 80s music last week when we got the karaoke bar.

There are definitely, definitely worse kinds of music, Datz. I've been kind of listening to a lot of 70s and 80s rock lately anyway. [ he says, from the year 2023ish. ] Just to change up some stuff. But this just means we can still be friends, so.

Where I grew up it sometimes took a while for songs from overseas to make it there, and most of 'em weren't huge hits there like they were in the west [ except for summer of '69 for some reason ], but the bits I remember are still kinda nostalgic.

This one came out the year I was born, actually!

No, that makes sense. It was like that for a little while I was growing up, too, but once we moved to the US things picked up again. [ then again the first vinyls only came out a few years before... thoughts to be banished. ]

I'd say you're dating yourself, but considering I have this song on, like, four of my playlists at home I can't say much. It's a classic. Things worth being nostalgic about, you know?
