A warm welcome to new heroes!

You wake up in a bed, big enough to fit you, no matter your size. Mind your head as you remove yourself from the bed. Getting out of bed, you see dozens and dozens of identical capsule sized "rooms". It seems like it's just you and the other souls who've only recently arrived.

Your usual outfit is folded neatly in the capsule, and your item from home is set aside in your room. It seems whatever force brought you here decided to put you in a superhero themed kigu (Superman, Batman, Captain America, etc).

The lobby of the hotel is not staffed, but there is a single newspaper found in the seating area. There's not too much to explore outside of the capsule hotel at the moment. Just outside is a wall of vending machines, and everything else is taped off with caution tape and small blue penguin-like creatures telling you not to go any further. "It's dangerous, dood!" These penguins are running around with what look like building materials, ducking underneath the caution tape to start rebuilding an absolutely wrecked city.

One of the creatures stands in front of the hotel, "Welcome to Oceanside City, dood! Take these and don't lose them. Sorry the team leads couldn’t meet you yet, they’re busy..."

They hand you a bag with:

• A smartphone in a case of your team's color, emblazoned with the team's animal
• Change for the vending machines
• A boxed lunch

With that, the creature sends you on your way. Time to get to know your new home.

I'm not worried. It'd just be annoying if you passed out.

[ It would be too awkward to just abandon a guy on the floor. ]

Anyway, you had the pizza and you're feeling okay aside from all of that.

Yeah! It tasted pretty good. They've got a ton of other food in there too.

[ listen. Lillium would at least move the body to the side so people (himself) can walk through without being inconvenienced. ]

I'd be inclined to try stuff out if, you know, we weren't kidnapped. It may sound wacky, but evil organizations lacing food or using it as vehicles for nano technology or whatever isn't out of the question.

Plus, I really doubt pizza from a vending machine can top real pizza.

It'd probably be easier to lace those bentos if they were gonna.

That's why I didn't eat it.

Nanotech? Think... Like... Very small technology that works at a minuscule level. Don't ask me more about it because I'm not a science guy.

What could something that small even do? Wouldn't it just get digested?

... Diseases are technically things that are really small that screw up with you body and people can die from that.

[ For the small point. ]

Some things can survive stomach acid. [ Waves his hand. ] I'll wait it out.

That's true! So what, are they programmed to be like diseases?

[ shrugs ]

Your loss. I guess you'd say the same for the kitchen bagels...?

I just said I'm not a science sky, but sky's the limit with that stuff.

[ Bagels. ]

Haha, yeah, I was pretty hungry.
