Early Friday morning, our heroes awaken to the moon setting, and finally, the freedom to leave the locations they fell asleep in the night before. It's a normal morning... if you ignore the sirens echoing through the city streets.

Police and prinnies have gathered in certain locations. With the sight of heroes giving them hope, they call upon you for help in searching for evidence, that we may all learn what happened on Thursday night.

So what are you waiting for? The investigation is yours.

Welcome, heroes, to your weekly investigation!

We will be posting top-levels for locations to be searched - one set at 6 PM EST / 3 PM PST and the second at 7 PM EST / 4 PM PST. Each block will run for two hours during which characters can search the locations for evidence related to the events of Thursday night, and each location will have something to find. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters.

Once the two hours are up - at 8 PM EST / 5 PM PST for block one and 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST for block two - threads will no longer receive mod tags and the investigation will conclude for the night. Whether you find everything is up to you, but don't worry if you don't! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial. At 9 PM EST / 6PM PST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s).

[ Well he is singing OneRepublic as they investigate. This is fine. If mods didn't do this I was just going to go with Footloose.

Ryuki will look for any misplaced furniture, spilled liquids, stains, broken items, what not... ]

[It's not really 'messed up', but more 'this room has been used'. The furniture is all there and doesn't seem to be damaged, but there is something up with the table.]

[No spillage or broken items! Also no bodies underneath the table. But there are some glasses on the table. Like, drink-glasses. Also some small bags too.

And a gun. There is a gun on the table as well.]

are the drink glasses used/dry? any visibly coloured residue like if you leave coke out for too long and it leaves like sticky black/brownish remnants... how many of them are there anyway? ]

[ Says Sarah/Albedo with full confidence but, uh. Something about the visuals here makes him freeze into place and stop singing-humming to himself. He'd stop functioning for a second but I don't want to waste investigation tags so.

He just. Turns around and leaves for a second. Let him check any other room really quick, pace a bit fast, for anything off at all in the hallway leading up to this main room, juuust in case. ]

[The first thing Albedo will notice is that there are two sets of two glasses: one set on the left, one set on the right. The two glasses on the left are empty, and on the right one glass is empty and the other is half-full. The three empty glasses do have a tiny bit of residue at the bottom too.

Ryuki leaves Albedo there to wander around the rooms like a madman. He will not find anything out of place in the other booths.]

[ just to confirm these are like regular soft drink glasses and not like shot glasses or like beer glasses with the handle? what's the colour of the liquid in the half-full glass and is there something that he can use to like... bag the liquid..... if not he'll figure out how to turn it in to evidence later something something handwave. also taking pic for evidence.

anyway, he'll briefly glance at Ryuki as he dashes out with a ???? expression but that's for later.

for now, if there's nothing else about the glasses - what kinda small bags are we talking about here. drawstring bags? cloth? plastic? what's going on here ]

He takes a few breaths and then re-enters. He's fine! He just nods once at Albedo. ]

[ He'll look at the gun. IS SAFETY ON. Does it look freshly fired. Does it look familiar a la a certain grey-SUITED* fuck you he gave us grey hairs though, powerful psychic of the 21st century :/. He'll pick it up carefully with his moe-sleeve hands as to not leave fingerprints out of habit, for safekeeping until they turn it into evidence. ]

[They have the handle on them, yes. The liquid in the half-full glass is something that will have to be investigated at trial. The small bags will also have to be inspected at trial tomorrow.

The safety is indeed on. He will need to use both hands to pick up the gun though, it is bigger than a handgun.]

[ Cool, now he resumes hum-singing I Lived under his breath but with a more distressed energy. This is hilarious.

Is it a SHOTGUN AGAIN. It's not all the way up to rifle-size is it. ]

[ Is any of the liquid spilled on the table... is there anything else here. Picks up the remote and turns on the karaoke machine to see what it's set to, what the last played stuff was/what time. Looks at the ceiling. ]

[Someone will have to look at it at trial to see what kind of gun it is! But it's certainly big enough to be a two-handed gun.

There is no liquid spilled on the table, and the karaoke machine is already on so no need to use the remote. There are several songs on the recently played list but the exact songs don't really matter for this. What matters is that it was used.

Imagine if a body was on the ceiling. But no, the ceiling is clear.
