Early Friday morning, our heroes awaken to the moon setting, and finally, the freedom to leave the locations they fell asleep in the night before. It's a normal morning... if you ignore the sirens echoing through the city streets.

Police and prinnies have gathered in certain locations. With the sight of heroes giving them hope, they call upon you for help in searching for evidence, that we may all learn what happened on Thursday night.

So what are you waiting for? The investigation is yours.

Welcome, heroes, to your weekly investigation!

We will be posting top-levels for locations to be searched - one set at 6 PM EST / 3 PM PST and the second at 7 PM EST / 4 PM PST. Each block will run for two hours during which characters can search the locations for evidence related to the events of Thursday night, and each location will have something to find. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters.

Once the two hours are up - at 8 PM EST / 5 PM PST for block one and 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST for block two - threads will no longer receive mod tags and the investigation will conclude for the night. Whether you find everything is up to you, but don't worry if you don't! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial. At 9 PM EST / 6PM PST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s).

Let's just. All be careful... I've got my gloves with me if we need to grab anything. [ but yeah, no, he comes to the casino pretty frequently and i'm not sure if BLOOD SMELL is the usual jade bamboo vibe? where does he wind up going if he follows his nose? ]

[ no strange sounds! and due to some timey wimey nonsense, jolyne will find that another team is investigating the parking garage. seems like they've got that covered.

nothing appears out of place on the service desk. the pamphlets look a tiny bit ruffled, but the air conditioning runs strong, so maybe it's just airflow. ace can swipe some casino chips! is that all he's doing over here, just looking from the front?

hung follows his nose to a display just beyond the receptionist's desk featurimg the latest, state-of-the-art slot machines and a beautifully crafted roulette wheel!

...or it would be beautiful, if not for all the gore. yikes. ]

[ i see okay nvmd then she will close the door and leave people to it for the second block...

she'll retreat from there and probably go follow hung, but as she does she will peek at the kiosk where you can load up your virtual card, anything there? can she poke through the pamphlets to see if anything's fallen in between the leaflets? anyways great love the roulette wheel full of gore. ]

[ ace will also look at it from the back! he is going around the whole thing. maybe he is looking for money. it's thievery time. he's just fully looking on, around and under this service desk like it's the most important thing in the world and not even noticing the gore roulette wheel not that far away ]

[ well. takes a photo of the gore with his phone, then another a little further back of the placement, sighing, ears flat in his hair before he pulls the aforementioned gloves on. can he pick up the display without disturbing the gore? is it, like, just general nondescript gore or is there bone/brain/innards?? ]

[ the kiosk looks fine and normal, as do the pamphlets.

ace has infinite money, but good for him going for gold anyway. you go, king. anyway, there's a trash can under the desk that's smelling kind of gross, so enjoy that.

there's no real way to keep from disturbing the gore. it's a disgusting mess of blood and like... meat pulp. blegh. doesn't appear to be any bones in here. but hey, some chunks of meat landed on 00, and according to the flashing sign, that means you won! congrats! ]

[ hate that for us. chunks of meat... yeesh. is it like only on the roulette? is it spread/spattered anywhere? are there any hand prints or... feet prints in the mess or leaving the roulette table itself? or a trail of any kind? ]

[ ace literally lived next to a trash heap, kind of gross means nothing to him. he looks at the trash can and if he can't see what smells bad immediately he will try to fish it out. and he will maybe fish it out even if he can see it depending on what it is

[ hung does not see what ace is doing, so can't bat his hands out of there barehanded. instead he's moving the display as carefully as he can towards the door so that they can carry it out afterwards. ]

Urgh... [ is there anything in the roulette wheel besides the meat that schlopped down into the 00? he'll leave jolyne to looking around it as he carefully pokes around the roulette ... things. number slots. whatever they're called. the blacks and reds. ]

[ there is some splatter around the roulette wheel, but most of it is just on the wheel itself.

there are some bloody footprints heading deeper into the building.

in the trash, ace finds normal trash things: discarded papers, food containers, and also... a pair of gloves. there's some blood on them.

little bits of blood and pulp drip from the display as hung moves it. that's probably fine. there's nothing else on the wheel but blood and gore and a single roulette ball, also covered in blood and gore. ]

[ can she go deeper into the building or is that just leading to the bar?

she's just gonna take a picture of the footprints next to her own? are they larger or smaller or of similar size (or will they have to visit the feet mind palace tomorrow?)

anything else in the area? recepticles for garbage, any other tables that she can look at? any machines acting weird? ]

also if that's it he's moving on to go spend his casino coins at the slot machines. by which i mean he's going to check all the different slot machines to see if there's anything out of place on/around/behind them.

[ great, disgusting! he's going to i guess. collect the chunks of gore that slid off or are on the floor in general. he'll put them in the trash can that ace has left behind after taking the stuff out of it. gross.

is there anything in that slop that he should be aware of, otherwise he's just going to put it in there and check around the ground where the gore was to make sure nothing's been missed there.

[ she can't go to the bar, but she can go deeper into the lobby, following the prints toward some stairs. they are close to jolyne's size, maybe a tad bigger. any more details on that will be for her mind palace tomorrow.

there are more trash cans, yes. there is also something on the floor closer to the stairs. is jolyne going to follow ace's lead and search for treasure?

it's probably a combo of the trash leftovers and gloves ): gross. but sure, ace can take those. i forgot to answer the material question. they're leather, probably. how well does ace know fabric, anyway, he so rarely wears shirts.

nothing out of place with the slot machines. sounds like someone's winning, but that's none of his business. checking the ceiling, ace can spot a small stain.

nothing was missed in the meat pulp. what, don't think this is a good prize? ]

well she's not gonna follow his lead on the trash cans just yet because she's going to deem the object closer to the stairs more important. so she'll make her way over and have a look. what is this object, is there any more gore around it? ]

anyway, what does the small stain look like, about where is it (above the roulette?) and is it like, blood colored or just... water stain ]

[ this is a terrible prize! but he's collected everything, i guess, and will now do a scan of the areas that ace and jolyne have not gone towards. because i don't remember what else there is in the lobby that's not been covered.

[ hey, you started this! but yea, the prints look like they head up the stairs.

the object on the floor is... a bracelet! a broken friendship bracelet, to be exact, made primarily of orange. it looks like it may have had a charm, once upon a time, but it's gone now.

the roulette wheel was moved, but according to the splatters, the ceiling stain may have been above it. the stain itself is dark, so it could be blood.

the elevator looks undisturbed. ]

oh friendship... she takes a picture of it right there. she'll pick it up for evidence - can she see if it's bloody at all? if not, she'll just pocket it for later. is there anything in this area that she can see at all? anything in the garbo cans? she will stick her good hand in there and rummage rummage rummage. ]

but in any case, this is really just. not great, biting the inside of her cheek. can she see what kinda shoes they are like in general? dress shoes? boots? sneakers? heels? stinky middle school flats? ]

is there anything on the stairs? he'll also compare his foot size to the peet prints here and take a pic of it so that they have more to compare against, and then check the steps and handrail, walls, and ceiling. ]
