Sunday morning starts off quietly enough, almost peaceful after the events of the past few days. Today, the alarm on everyone's phone starts at 12 PM, with a reminder of the execution to take place at 1 PM at the stadium. Unlike the Saturday notifications, however, this is the only reminder you get. It appears that attendance is not mandatory this time.

Well. Not for all of you, anyway. One of you feels a compulsion to head to the stadium, heading straight inside and following the staff to ready themselves for what's to come. All others who arrive at the stadium, hero or civilian, are led to spectator seating.

As the clock strikes 1 PM, Adlet walks into the arena. On the opposite end of the field, Rita steps out to greet them. As long as they both live, neither will able to leave the area, nor will any outsiders be able to enter.

You don't have to watch, of course. That's your choice. But with the event being broadcast all over the city, it may be hard to avoid. In-person or across town, everywhere is buzzing with gossip of the newly discovered villain about to face justice. Regardless of where you go or whether you choose to watch, the only thing to do now is wait.

hung's not bothering with sitting down. he's standing up, as close as possible, to where the barrier keeps them separate from the heart of the arena. his fur is bristled, all the way to his tail, but - he says nothing. just waits and watches. ]

It's okay. We'll go get her when this is over.

he offers his hand down to them, nodding. ]

We will. I don't have any Remedies, but plenty of people who also care about her still do.

[They are going to take that hand and squeeze it tightly, thanks.]

Yeah, there's a few around. She'll be alright.

[Are they saying that to reassure Hung, or themselves?]

he squeezes back, though, lip curling in residual anger with adlet. ]

She knows what she's doing. [ or at least is putting on the right act for it. this is, in fact, to reassure ox. ]

[Watching her throw apple bombs around.]

She's going to run out if she keeps doing that.

[tongshi]

[ watches adlet pick up the most recent apple and bristles up more. ]

She needs to stay away from him, is the problem -

[Well now Adlet is running at her with an apple bomb.]

Rita! Move!

[becomemod]

[And then they hear Aldet telling Rita to kill him and tears start running down their face.]

He's such an idiot...

wiggles his hands free so he can give Ox a hug, he will climb over the chairs to do this ]

[He can hug them it's fine. They will accept this.]

[ hung is... less generous with thinking that adlet is an idiot, ears flat in his hair but - he squeezes ox's hand, biting back his worst commentary when standing with them. ]

... he is.

[floridas]

[ she just hovers next to him for a long while, pressing her shoulder to his arm quietly while staring down at the arena. eventually her hand will find purchase on his back to just rest there. ]

[tongshi]

[ his stance shifts a little, so that he's pressed closer to her when he feels her hand settle. since she's got her hand on his back, though, she'll be able to feel the constant, subvocal vibration of a growl that sits low in his chest as he watches. ]

[floridas]

Easy... I know... but she's got this. We know she does.

[ she scratches gently at his fur. just a quiet, steady motion. it's not great to see her down there, in fact, it makes her a bit sick. but she has her eyes glued on rita, like maybe it'll help. ]

[tongshi]

We know she does. [ the growl comes into his voice a little because. uh. watching adlet run at rita with an active apple bomb. ] But with him having my power, if he's tanking these bombs to power up his own attack back...

She needs to keep the distance between them. [ especially while he HAS A BOMB. run, rita! ]

[floridas]

Are you fucking kidding me -

[ watching adlet tackle rita like HELLO!? YOU STUPID MOTHERFUCKER! hahahaha the growling is just. so much, but it's fine. this is what nothing left to lose looks like, and she hates it, a hand slapping against the barrier. ]

Rita!

[tongshi]

[ another growl comes out, low and under his breath, but. rita will do this. rita will make sure it's taken care of.

(rita will, also, probably reject adlet in front of god and everyone.) ]

She'll be okay, she'll be okay...

[floridas]

[ she watches it, the moment that rita thrusts the spike forward towards adlet, and she holds her breath. it's a moment hung in time. ]

She will. I believe in her.

[Then the stake gets plunged]

...oh, good, she has this under control.

[Rita was capable of doing it. Even if that isn't enough to make it happen, at least Rita wasn't deterred from Adlet's sudden change in attitude]

[ it sucks that she has to have this under control. the fact that she has to fight him at all is Fucked haha hate this place. ]

Yeah... she's gonna do what she has to do. [ to survive. it's just really hittin' right now. ]
