Rise and shine. The sirens that filled the streets on Friday have died down, allowing you to spend the morning peacefully despite the news. It isn't until 11 AM that an alarm goes off on everyone's phone, citing a reminder for the trial taking place at the courthouse at noon. It turns off soon, but pops back up every ten minutes to ensure that you don't forget.
Shortly before 12 PM, all heroes feel a compulsion to head to the courthouse, where the staff direct you to one of the courtrooms reserved for the day's events. Attendance is mandatory, it seems, and once everyone has arrived, the doors close and lock behind them.
Yesterday's investigation was only the beginning. The real work begins now.
There will be a mod-tag break between 5 PM EST / 2 PM PST to 6 PM EST / 3 PM PST. While the trial may continue and players can tag each other, mod-led threads such as questions and investigations will be on hold.

In the cases of Whisper the Wolf and Captain Kathyrn Janeway, we have the following. The locations that were successfully investigated in terms of finding potential clues last night were the dormitories, the herb shoppe, the Middle School - both a hallway and a classroom - the lake at the park, and the salon. If you investigated these locations, please report your findings. I'd like to focus on those, first.
Additionally, as ever, report where you slept Thursday evening, so we may find a start point for either of our victims, and if you experienced any strange effects on Friday. Perhaps someone else may gather these to keep our time orderly?
Finally, it may do us some good to discuss the note from our friendly informant - this week's note has quite a few details, and we may want to iron those out.

It smelt like oolong tea. Just plain oolong tea. I suspected that it might have been spiked with the herbs that had been found, so I asked Hung to help verify it.
Also, weirdly enough, it was hidden behind a potted plant at the top of a shelf in the back room, so the question becomes... why, if it's just regular tea? Also, whoever hid it in the back room has to be taller than me or fairly resourceful, since I had to climb [ hello genshin parkour ] to even retrieve it where it had been hidden.

Whisper had bought a lot of wonderballs earlier this week. We need to narrow down what on this list she may have used. I know what Hi, Haters does, and I'm the one who used it this week. Pop Rocks makes someone's tongue hurt for an hour. I have it, but didn't use it this week. The Butterfly Clip clearly was used at night, and it makes someone experience flustered feelings for everyone they encounter.

Her throat was sliced with what looked to be some splatter from that injury, most of the blood was on the right side of her neck. There was a second injury on the right side of her abdomen, it was a puncture wound, I didn't check how deep it went.

Her neck was broken— a clean break. In... the best case scenario, she was already dead when they burned her. Otherwise, she would have been paralyzed from the neck down with that type of injury... I think. I didn't find evidence that she struggled against the ropes, anyway. And there's bruising around her neck.
Her face smells earthy and herbal, but not her mouth. They probably threw the same drink that was in the thermos at her face. I don't think that was used to put her to sleep, though, because she had a pinprick in the middle of her back that went through her clothes right into her skin. Both pupils dilated. They must've jabbed her with something, but I don't know what yet. We need to find something to compare to that mark. Like a needle?
She had her phone, a knife, a photo and some cards with her. [that she will put in evidence in a sec.] Her armguards melted into her skin, so I can't take them off. I think it's just because of the type of material, though, not because they set her hands on fire first. But there's glitter and red paint on the soles of her shoes.

Salon revisit results
Hey, we're back from the salon. We didn't find anything new in the back room, but we took another look around. Nico picked up a lighter that was on the ground and a teapot that had a teabag in it, and we saw some traces of red paint and glitter out front. Not a lot, just a little.
I got a photo of some burn damage to the ceiling, too, but from the sound of things it lined up with where the fire was.

No one's happy about it, but we need to check injuries. There's a divider. Get behind it. You can have whoever you want to check you checking you, but no teammates. Check clothes, hands and nails, head and scalp, examine injuries carefully. Even if something seems like it has an explanation, if you don't know for sure the source, or if the confirmation has room for doubt, then make a note of it to bring up later.
Please don't make me have to argue with you about cooperating today. I don't like it either, but we need to not make mistakes.

She started the night at the Ox Dorm, which had glitter and paint left outside the door to mark anyone who moved through it. Predictably, she had glitter and red paint on her shoes.
At the Middle School, Janeway's body was found in the hallway. Her throat was sliced and she had a puncture wound on the right side of her abdomen -- both looked like they could be from a knife or a dagger. There was blood in her mouth and glitter on her face. She was carrying two blank pieces of paper, her cell phone, tricorder, and communicator badge.
There was bloodsplatter in the hall, and burn marks on the walls and floor. The sprinklers went off, probably triggered by the phaser firing near one of them, and the floor was wet. In one of the classrooms, the floor was wet from the sprinklers, and there was glitter all over the place. Janeway's phaser was found there, along with more burn marks on the walls. In the trash can, there were some paper towels and apples. There was also some apple-like wet residue. Maybe one of them got splattered by the phaser or something.
In a bathroom, there was a crumpled piece of blank paper and an apple.
Janeway's power this week was my power, which allows the user to seal items into paper. The limit is three items at a time, which might be why there were three pieces of paper on the scene in total. It's possible that when she died, any items still sealed were automatically released.
Also, out in the lake, there was a medal, a pink butterfly clip, and a school uniform with glitter on it. Seems like they're most likely connected to this case.

after a good fifteen-twenty minutes in the Mind Palace TM that included being practically comatose for strip check, temenos seems to come back to life from where he was dissociating. he refers to his notes, briefly, snaps his fingers on his good hand, and smacks his staff against the ground to make noise. hello. ]
I’ve gathered what I believe to be the facts of Whisper’s case. There are a total of three locations associated with her murder: the dormitory, the herb shoppe, and finally, the salon, where her body was discovered.
Whisper the Wolf, Team Snake, with this week’s swapped ability of poison, started her night in the Snake Dorm. As evidenced by the discovery of red paint and glitter on the bottom of her feet, she traipsed through the paint and glitter mess of the dormitory outdoors, and made her way towards downtown.
There were small traces of red paint and glitter outside of the Salon, but no sign of it in the Rosy Herbs: as such, I’ve reason to believe that perhaps our assailant was the only one who entered the shop. Within the Rosy Herbs, we found three types of herbs that had been disturbed, including Valerian root, passion flower, and poppies, as well as a mortar and pestle with trace evidence of the three herbs within it. There was a book set out, entitled “Herbs 101”: the knowledge within the book showed all three types of herbs to be forms of sedative, each with a variety of side effects, but mixed together, likely able to create a very potent sedative. A variety of side effects came from this mixture, including drowsiness, dizziness, and a sense of mental slowness, perhaps relevant to wooziness.
[ he glances over at where hung is. piecing together stuff. tea palace? tea palace. anyway. ] I’m of the opinion that our assailant went to the Rosy Herbs shop before their encounter with Whisper, personally.
In the salon itself, Whisper’s body was uncovered tied to a salon chair. The salon had been set on fire: her body had matching burn and char damage, and beauty products as well as a lighter were discovered at the scene. Not only that, but her weapon, a wispon was found on the ground, and one side of the weapon was relatively unburnt, likely the one that was on the floor.
Returning to the fire itself, three curious things stuck out to me, as Saya reported the body’s details. The first was Whisper’s neck was broken; the second, there was a pinprick injury matching a needle that was found in her back.
The final point of the note from her body was that her face smelled earthy and herbal, matching the scent of oolong tea. The origin of the tea came from a thermos purposefully hidden in the back room of the salon: based on Will’s reaction to the drink, this tea - the oolong, thermos tea - may have been dosed with the sedative mixture concocted from the Rosy Herbs store, where similar containers were on sale. It is of note a black cloak of some sort was also found in the planters, though we didn’t uncover any damage on our first examination. The cloak had a touch of dirt on it, and smelled of smoke.
On the subject of tea: two teacups rested on a table within the Salon, one full, and one empty. We also uncovered a teapot with a bag of over-steeped black tea within. The cups and the pot all contained the scent of black tea, but the full cup was sweeter than the others, as if something was added to it. Testing makes it seem reasonable to believe that the full cup of black tea was poisoned with a stronger poison that induced a fever and hallucinations, as tested in Hung. It’s important to note as well that Whisper had access to the poison power this week: it is not unreasonable to think that perhaps she could have poisoned this tea. We found Whisper’s mask placed beside it as well at this tea station.
A murder with more than one plausible cause of death; poisons on top of poisons; and a crime scene where fire swept away evidence. This case has quite a bit of room for reasonable doubt, and I’ve a few theories of my own. What do you think?

RESULTS
Crimson Phoenix ignores the results, immediately leaving the jury box to check on his teammates, with Rabbit starting to follow before turning to go check on their Rabbits. Amethyst Snake is a growling tiger and running to their snakes, their putting their body in between the snakes and everyone else. White Tiger stares at everyone for a few seconds, watching the other leaders approach their teams, before turning and walking away.
