Early Friday morning, our heroes awaken to the moon setting, and finally, the freedom to leave the locations they fell asleep in the night before. It's a normal morning... if you ignore the sirens echoing through the city streets.

Police and prinnies have gathered in certain locations. With the sight of heroes giving them hope, they call upon you for help in searching for evidence, that we may all learn what happened on Thursday night.

So what are you waiting for? The investigation is yours.

Welcome, heroes, to your second investigation!

We will be posting top-levels for locations to be searched - one set at 6 PM EST / 3 PM PST and the second at 7 PM EST / 4 PM PST. Each block will run for two hours during which characters can search the locations for evidence related to the events of Thursday night, and each location will have something to find. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters.

Once the two hours are up - at 8 PM EST / 5 PM PST for block one and 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST for block two - threads will no longer receive mod tags and the investigation will conclude for the night. Whether you find everything is up to you, but don't worry if you don't! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial. At 9 PM EST / 6PM PST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s).

[ There's an emergency exit sign right above this door. Vane can open the door.

Immediately upon opening it, they are greeted by the priestess of the Grand Narukami Shrine.

Her body in a heap.

[ OH MY GOD A BODY I FOUND A BODY IT’S BEEN YEARS!!

But Vane is opening that door because what is an emergency exits all doors are exits.

When he sees the body his blood goes cold, his limbs moving before he has full control. ] H-Hey! You’re uh… Miko Miko Mii? Are you okay!? [ He doesn’t remember her name. He’s also very flustered. Sorry, he might accidentally touch the body unless he’s stopped to check for a pulse. ]

well. temenos peers around vane to see - and yep. that sure is a body. that sure is his teammate's body, even. ]

...Yae Miko. [ he says, quietly, remarkably unreactive comparatively. and, when vane goes to check, he brings a hand out to put it across him to keep him from rushing, with a - ] Carefully. Don't disturb anything. Check, but...

[ ... but, well. thinking she might have a pulse is wishful thinking.

but with that warning, temenos then will kneel down beside her as well. is there anything we can see around her body? or about her positioning? since that's not always easy to see at body check. ]

[ Her body is dumped into a heap, unceremonious for a priestess. Then again, she's dead.

It's easy to tell that her body is in a pool of blood.

She does not have a pulse. ]

[ Sorry. He’s either too fast, too frazzled, too hopeful to pay much heed to the warning; it’s all intense.

There’s no pulse. His expression shifts, and he respectfully places hands to at least… move her a little. If he can, before her body disappears or something. He just doesn’t want to see her in a heap of limbs when she was once a living and breathing person before.

Sorry he’s sniffling. ]

[ well. temenos's mind is racing, and he's not exactly thrilled about the scene being messed with, but, vane is a giant baby and it's not that surprising - he watches this happen for a moment, and then shakes his head. another day, another body. ]

...We're going to get rushed out of here, before long. [ ...

but, it's affection week, so, he reaches up to very gently lay his hand on vane's back as he stands when he hears him sniffle, leaving it there like a steadying weight. ] ...Come along, Vane. There still may yet be more to find.
