After a weekend like that, maybe you're up for a little shopping? Good news is, that the Waterfront Shopping Mall has reopened this week. Go see a movie, adopt a pet, or maybe take some cute photos with friends! They can just hop on the S.U.P.E.R. to get to the new locations!

This week Aquamarine Fox, Cobalt Ox, Emerald Goat, and Gold Mouse can be found patrolling the city or watching construction.

If you wander the streets, you're sure to run into a prinny or two trying to sell you the Monday newspaper. Looks like there is something spicy this week! Luckily, you always seem to have the right amount of cash for such things.

Should heroes go stargazing at night, they will find that the moon appears to be in the waning crescent phase. Yes, all week. Villains tend to wander more at night, however, so the local authorities would suggest staying in after dark, unless you plan to try your hand at fighting crime. They welcome the help.

It appears that they have earned some new tokens to use on the AMAZOOM app. What cards will they get this week?

Looks like your luck is improving and you're starting to get to know each other better. Don't you feel closer to everyone already? This week, they will find themselves compelled to be physically affectionate in whatever way is appropriate. Hold hands!

[ the image of her sitting behind the wheel of a vehicle is absolutely comical, and also probably is an issue for the fact that she can barely see over the steering wheel. i'm sure this will be fine and not a problem at all whatsoever. ]

...Go ahead and give it gas.

[ presses the gas pedal down as hard as he can ]

Hanako!

[ wow that almost got her to yell for real SHE IS GRIPPING THE STEERING WHEEL AS HARD AS SHE CAN SHE HATES THIS ]

[ Their car zooms forward! Even above Whisper, they can hear the sound of tires screeching to their side, and a string of curses that will have to be edited out later. The other racecar does swerve, but it quickly corrects itself and moves in front of their car, trying to force them into the wall. ]

[ they do not get bullied into the wall, but there is little room for them to get out and around the other car as they are right now. ]

Hanako. [ she is. incredibly serious. LISTEN. ]

Let off the gas a little bit, so I can get around the car. Then you can press the pedal again.

[ really she is just trying to keep her composure. good thing she is trained at that. but it's just, not going to last through my mid-ass rolls. ]

[ At least she phrases it like that instead of telling him to stop, because otherwise he'd slam on the pedals and they can make news by being the first drivers to make a racecar do a backflip off the wall. As it is, he lets go and scoots up onto the passenger seat ]

Alright! You got this! Get as close as you can to it!

I don't want to... [ IT JUST SEEMS LIKE A BAD IDEA!!

but he listened to her, so. against her better judgement, she will listen to him - especially because he can see if she is or not. so she steers a bit closer. ]

[ It's absolutely a bad idea, but it'll help them win, and so it is justified. ]

Closer... closer...

[ He reaches his arm out the window, trying to get at the other car's tires. There's a glint of metal in his hand, but don't mind that, keep your eyes on the road, Whisper ]

[ whisper is so focused on not dying in a terrible car accident that she isn't paying very close attention to hanako. ]

Can't get much closer.

[ well, maybe they could, but that seems incredibly risky?! sure would be a shame if some wackyass speed racer thing happened, like they dropped an oil slick or caltrops*

*i only ever remember the dexter's lab parody version i don't know what happens in speed racer ]

[ Caltrops suddenly drop from the ceiling at the same time the other racecar accelerates to pull away just out of Hanako's reach, moving in front of their car to block their path.

Hanako humphs in frustration, but puts away the knife in favor of trying to swipe a caltrop from the ground as they zoom past ]

Ugh! This is a top-of-the-line racecar! There's got to be some special features that'll help take out the competition!

[ 'lasers' she wants to say, but needs to do some evasive maneuvering first. ]

[ Hanako gets thrown back into his seat when they swerve yet again. This is a bad time to not wear seatbelts.

Whisper's got steering down, so what can he do... Besides slamming down the gap pedal once again, he takes a look at the dashboard where instead of a display screen showing current traffic, there's something that looks like a handheld gaming keypad ]

Umm... mm...

[ Slams his hand down on the buttons. According to ign.com, pressing "B, Up, Minus, 2, B, Up, Minus" turns their racecar into a monster truck ]

[ this isn't even the weirdest thing whisper has experienced in her life, and yet this still startles her. ]

Is this good?!

[ well. what they lack in speed, they make up for in the ability to literally crush their competition?? it gives whisper a little bit more control, at least, and maaaaybe a little more traction. that might come in handy! ]

It's good!

[ It's! something! He likes being tall, and from the way the other driver startles and throws a look over his shoulder— nearly steering off course with the distraction but managing to not crash and burn— it's the best possible outcome they can hope for. ]

Go go go!!

Can't go any faster! [ HANAKO, OUR LEGS ARE SHORT!!

but being tall does help. you know how monster trucks can like, go sideways? - that's going to help on the approaching wall. maybe they'll even go entirely horizontal!

[ That's why he wanted to tape a brick to the pedal! Hanako does not think to buckle up but he does deathgrip Whisper's arm when they go sideways, and then even harder when they turn upside down

what is happening!!!! black smoke pours out of the exhaust behind them, and then flames start shooting out ]

[ aim at the other car...! ]

[ she is locked in: focused, tunnel vision. part of her is still internally screaming, but the other part of her - mission brain - is at the forefront. in the driver's seat, you could say.
