Week 2: Mingle

week 2:
mingle
After a weekend like that, maybe you're up for a little shopping? Good news is, that the Waterfront Shopping Mall has reopened this week. Go see a movie, adopt a pet, or maybe take some cute photos with friends! They can just hop on the S.U.P.E.R. to get to the new locations!
This week Aquamarine Fox, Cobalt Ox, Emerald Goat, and Gold Mouse can be found patrolling the city or watching construction.
If you wander the streets, you're sure to run into a prinny or two trying to sell you the Monday newspaper. Looks like there is something spicy this week! Luckily, you always seem to have the right amount of cash for such things.
Should heroes go stargazing at night, they will find that the moon appears to be in the waning crescent phase. Yes, all week. Villains tend to wander more at night, however, so the local authorities would suggest staying in after dark, unless you plan to try your hand at fighting crime. They welcome the help.
It appears that they have earned some new tokens to use on the AMAZOOM app. What cards will they get this week?
Looks like your luck is improving and you're starting to get to know each other better. Don't you feel closer to everyone already? This week, they will find themselves compelled to be physically affectionate in whatever way is appropriate. Hold hands!
Early Monday morning, all heroes receive a message from the RANKINGS app on their phone:

[i rolled a 14 for the fabric's durability, so. it's not inuyasha jacket strong but girl's going to be hacking away at it for a while. it is not easy to cut, no. the mummy wiggles like a sad little worm. maybe he has to pee.]
It's knife proof? [SURE.] That's why it's so expensive.
no subject
Uhhh yeah! Exactly. Top of the line—now see it in action!
[ because oh god the papercraft section is in danger. jolyne is gonna try and help with that situation probably??? aaaaa ]
Put those down, c'mon you little—

And suddenly there’s children tugging at his pants trying to get them to stretch out and he snaps back. ]
You said it’s knife proof?
Maybe it’d be better if I just hacked away at it with my axe?
no subject
...And if not, then we get to demonstrate just how crazy strong this stuff is!
[ win win! he goes back over to mummy man and crouches down to pick him up (and check it out, these seams are totally secure and at no risk of ripping open! no fraying with this fabric!!!!) ]
C'mon, man, let's give this another shot! Gonna try doin' this the right way!
[ bridal carries him over to the cutting table and lays him down on top of it, which is in no way reminiscent of a villain laying a tied-up victim down on a railroad track!
over in the papercraft section, the shitty kids turn their waterguns on jolyne again, which at least means they aren't aiming right at the very-much-not-waterproof paper anymore. ]

too bad his screams are being muffled by the amount of yarn and fabric wrapped around his face... it's knife proof and sound proof! amazing.]
Look, look! He's really excited to help with our demonstration.
[she knows he's not.
but she claps her hands, smiling.]
Go on, Vane. Give it a try with your axe!
no subject
Agh!!! Gimme a break—
[ but they will not give her a break and instead are just going to squirt her right in the face—which means she's going to reach over and scruff these obnoxious children, one under eager powerful girlboss arm! they have to run out of water eventually, right?
i hope vane accidentally decapitates this poor man wrapped up in yarn. it's really his own fault for ending up like a naughty cat!!!!! ]

Vane leaves to a hidden back room (its storage) and returns with his axe, that he’s been hiding in case a wandering Hanako gets curious and murderous. Brandishing it with a mirthful grin, he approaches the table with confidence. ]
And what’s more annoying than a torn sleeve or pair of pants? Especially when you can’t find a tailor around, but learning how to sew could fix that problem — still! It’s inconvenient, don’t we all agree?
[ So, while the mummified person squirms around on the table he raises his axe. There’s some muffled screams but… like… who can hear that over this group being loud as hell. And Saya.
Vane steadies himself, holding the axe above his head (which is like dangerously close to the ceiling) and swings downward — ]

Only to hear a sudden splatter of wetness accompanied by a hard thud —
Which is just a kid spraying a water gun accompanied by the noise of the axe cutting clean through the table. Swing and a miss, our little mummified civilian remains unharmed for the most part cause that fall sounded nasty. ]
Ah, oop… I got too excited.

[ VANE?????? ]
You, uh... you all right there, buddy?
[ HOPEFULLY THIS GUY'S EYES ARE COVERED BY THE FABRIC TOO SO HE DIDN'T JUST SEE WHAT ALMOST HAPPENED... he like, picks him back up into a sitting position against what's left of the table. ]
Some technical difficulties with the table, sorry 'bout that! Uh, y'know, lemme just go grab my own kn.....fabric scissors... and try this myself.
[ runs off to get his knife that i guess was just like, sitting in its sheath in a bag with the rest of his clothes in the men's bathroom
runs back!
and gets stopped and yelled at by another parent for running with a knife ]
no subject
she looks at vane's axe, which may or may not be bigger than her. she is hanako height.]
Can I try?
[the mummified civilian screams louder. he may be blind and gagged but he is, unfortunately, not deaf to the axe talk from earlier.]
no subject
Hm.
[ as she stares at the wiggling civilian yarn worm on the table. ]
I mean, hey, what's the worst that could happen? They get a close shave or whatever, right?
[ jolyne, don't just say "ok" when the weapon isn't even yours.
the person inside screams Louder as she lets the children go to scamper back to their mothers. ]
no subject
[ He peels the axe out from the table. ]
It’s probably a bit too heavy for you, Saysay. But you know what I realized? The fabric here is strong and breathable — cause how long has that guy been in there?
no subject
Hey, that's right! Truly some first-rate stuff here! Ya ain't gonna get more comfortable and flexible than this!
[ leaning down to whisper to mummy man ]
OK, man, I'm gonna get you outta here for real, just don't move for like, 20 seconds.
[ and i'm taking pity on this dude since we're over 30 comments and saying my 11 is enough to cut him out of his self-imposed knitted prison, even if it isn't a very cool-looking cut.
BE FREE YOU MISERABLE SLAPSTICK CLOWN OF A HUMAN BEING ]
And let's thank this guy for helping to demonstrate!!!
no subject
Yay! Good job!
[
the man is already running out of the store except he slips on the wet tiles and slides headfirst all the way to the front door. it's closed.
bonk.]
