Early Friday morning, our heroes awaken to the moon setting, and finally, the freedom to leave the locations they fell asleep in the night before. It's a normal morning... if you ignore the sirens echoing through the city streets.

Police and prinnies have gathered in certain locations. With the sight of heroes giving them hope, they call upon you for help in searching for evidence, that we may all learn what happened on Thursday night.

So what are you waiting for? The investigation is yours.

Welcome, heroes, to your second investigation!

We will be posting top-levels for locations to be searched - one set at 6 PM EST / 3 PM PST and the second at 7 PM EST / 4 PM PST. Each block will run for two hours during which characters can search the locations for evidence related to the events of Thursday night, and each location will have something to find. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters.

Once the two hours are up - at 8 PM EST / 5 PM PST for block one and 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST for block two - threads will no longer receive mod tags and the investigation will conclude for the night. Whether you find everything is up to you, but don't worry if you don't! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial. At 9 PM EST / 6PM PST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s).

[ They won't find anything damaged on the outside, however at a glance they can tell there aren't any lights on inside. Weird.

Speaking of things being afoot...are they wearing shoes? ]

[Jameway is absolutely wearing shoes. She's going to go closer to the door in order to look through it, but if she steps on anything on the way she'll stop before then.]

[Definitely wearing boots. Sigrun notices Janeway going towards the door, and making a silent gesture at Nico and Janeway to inform her move Sigrun tries to look through any shop windows that may show the inside. Even though it's likely there's no immediate danger, Sigrun still stays quiet as if making noise would alert someone inside]

[Robin is wearing shoes, but she does look down as she steps towards one of the windows. She tries to look inside to see if there's something out of place.

Can they open the door or is it locked?]

[ With the natural light shining through the displays, they may be able to catch that the floor is sparkling with something, but it's too dark to see what from outside.

The door is unlocked! Go on in. It should be fine. ]

Careful.

[Janeway's going to open the door and look in. Is the sparkly stuff recognizable?]

[It probably is the experience from going into dangerous places where death could come from anywhere what makes Sigrun look in direction of the ceiling and the surrounding areas to the entrance, trying to see anything that feels off -- or, in this case, something that hints awful stuff happened somewhere around here]

[Robin slowly steps in as she looks around. Her old experiences of not taking things at face value coming back as she tries to find anything out of the ordinary.

Can they turn the lights on? Anything that's been knocked down or destroyed?]

[ It'll be clear that it's glass! It seems to be scattered all over the place.

Finding a light switch unfortunately won't help shed light on the situation because as they look up, they will find the lights have been broken. They also will have a hard time seeing much because the store is darker the further from natural light they go. Where is disco pardi when they need him? ]

[Do we have flashlights on our phones? If so Janeway's turning hers on. If not she's going to turn the brightness all the way up on her screen and use it as a flashlight to look around.]

[One of Sigrun's hands go towards the holster with her dagger, mostly out of muscle memory when walking into dimly lit buildings with broken stuff and what not]

What happened to the lights?

[Does it look that they, like...exploded? Or like stuff up there got hit with something?]

[Robin slowly walked in being mindful of the glass on the ground. She looked up to see the lights destroyed. She'll ease over to Janeway to try to see anything with her light. She doesn't walk too far away since she doesn't know what might be there. She will walk over to see if there is anything else on the floor.

Is there anything else among the glass? Dirt? Items from the store that may have been broken?]

[ They do have a flashlight app on their phones! Upon inspecting the glass, they may notice that some of it looks extra crunched into the ground in places.

As far as Sigrun can tell, they just looked shattered.

There's still more of the store to see. Are they going to go in further? ]

Move carefully, try not to touch or step on anything. [Janeway says, her voice low.

She'll go into the store a bit further, looking around for anything immediately interesting.]

[Yeah, let's get moving, avoiding the glass and anything else lying around here. Sigrun focuses on direction of the food area since last time there was evidence in a cafe setting, so who knows, maybe it happened again but this time in Tarkea!

Wrong location for that, Sigrun, that's in the cafe again]

[Robin nods and will go into the store a bit further. She'll take out her phone and hit the flashlight button definitely not by mistake and look around to see that she's in an aisle that sells pillows. She'll walk further down the aisle to see if there's anything that might be misplaced.

Is there anything in the aisle that would catch their attention? Or anything that would block her way and she'd have to go down another aisle? Or anything in the food area?]

[ How good is Sigrun at navigating because the place is very similar to a certain store that might rhyme with the name. They will have to traverse through the maze of models and rooms with different things before they can get to the food. They can try to find the shortcuts.

They can find the pillow and the textile aisle! There nothing seems to be off here, but if they keep going in further they will land in the furniture section! There will notice something is wrong here pretty quickly if they are watching the floor.

They will find blood splatter. ]

[That's a very bad sign.

Is it a trail of blood, or does it look like someone was attacked here?]

[Decent enough at navigating, although given this is a place she's not all that familiar with, it might take longer. Still, at least she's competent enough to know what where she has been at, so it's only matter of time before she solves the maze of furniture and home shopping and gets to the food area, yup!]

[Robin sees the blood splatter and looks around to see if there's a trail or if there's blood in other places. She'll walk further down the textile aisle to see if there is more blood splatter elsewhere.

Is there more blood in the aisle or when she turns the corner?]

[ Sigrun can get to the food court where she will find that the meatballs and cinnamon rolls are safe! It doesn't look like anything has happened around here.

It's just a single blood splatter, but further in they can pick up on a small trail of blood. It looks like just a small drop here and there going further in the darkened store. The initial splatter could point to an attack of some kind.

As would the overturned chair further in the furniture area.

There won't be anything in the textile area. ]

[Does the blood trail end at the chair or continue? If it continues she'll follow, if it ends she'll inspect the chair and the area around it for more blood.]

[Awesome, it's all safe here in the food area. By the time she goes back with the rest there probably is no more investigation time, haha]

[Robin will go down further from the overturned chair to see if there is anymore blood or things that are broken.

Is there anything further down the aisle or by the overturned chair?]

[ The little drips continue out of the furniture section and into the lighting section! There will be more shattered glass here.

Not from the chair is a table Robin might want to get a better look at. ]
