Sunday morning starts off quietly enough, almost peaceful after the events of the past few days. Today, the alarm on everyone's phone starts at 12 PM, with a reminder of the execution to take place at 1 PM at the stadium. Unlike the Saturday notifications, however, this is the only reminder you get. It appears that attendance is not mandatory this time.

Well. Not for all of you, anyway. One of you feels a compulsion to head to the stadium, heading straight inside and following the staff to ready themselves for what's to come. All others who arrive at the stadium, hero or civilian, are led to spectator seating.

As the clock strikes 1 PM, Mika walks into the arena. On the opposite end of the field, Temenos steps out to greet them. As long as they both live, neither will able to leave the area, nor will any outsiders be able to enter.

You don't have to watch, of course. That's your choice. But with the event being broadcast all over the city, it may be hard to avoid. In-person or across town, everywhere is buzzing with gossip of the newly discovered villain about to face justice. Regardless of where you go or whether you choose to watch, the only thing to do now is wait.

It's not enough to get rid of her because it's inconvenient - they're really going to make entertainment out of it.

I mean, it's starting to kind of feel like that's what we are at this point... entertainment until we're not convenient.

...That's exactly what it is. To the masses, we're just like characters in a comic book. They aren't seeing us as real people, just the heroes to root for and the villains to hate.

We're people that didn't ask for this! [ @ the universe at large ] Mika didn't ask for this, and neither did Rocket. They need to face the reality of the situation we're all in.

These don't strike me as people who are used to living in reality.

No, it's starting to shake out that way.

Yeah, they always love makin' a big show outta the so-called villains gettin' their "just" punishment.

It shouldn't be. [ bristly and shaking his head ] I know that's not how the world works, I'm not naive, but it still shouldn't be.

Yeah, it shouldn't. ...So let's do what we can to force a change as long as we're stuck here.

[ looks at his own revolution that's been trudging along for 23 years but ]

...Yeah, that's right. I mean, we gotta pretty far in just a few hours!

[ even if they... all just landed in prison... ]

Just... kind of didn't get back the way we came, after. But that's something, right? Every little bit counts.

...Maybe that's the answer. If their power is based on a show, then there's a weakness there. They could lose out to a show that was more entertaining.

...Yeah, that's an idea. There's more ideology behind it back home, but it does seem like the entertainment factor's a bigger part of it here.
