he wastes a little time, standing there, his hand still wrapped around the hilt of the dagger, like he might tug it free -
but he forces himself to abandon it and takes off in pursuit of nico again. as he runs, he retakes hold of the bow, pulls out the arrow from his hoodie pocket, and takes careful aim. archery has never been his forte - not the way it is for his siblings - but he knows how to use a bow. he might not be able to hit a bullseye, but he nearly always hits somewhere on the target.
and nico is a much bigger target than just a bullseye.
