A warm welcome to new heroes!

You wake up in a bed, big enough to fit you, no matter your size. Mind your head as you remove yourself from the bed. Getting out of bed, you see dozens and dozens of identical capsule sized "rooms". It seems like it's just you and the other souls who've only recently arrived.

Your usual outfit is folded neatly in the capsule, and your item from home is set aside in your room. It seems whatever force brought you here decided to put you in a superhero themed kigu (Superman, Batman, Captain America, etc).

The lobby of the hotel is not staffed, but there is a single newspaper found in the seating area. There's not too much to explore outside of the capsule hotel at the moment. Just outside is a wall of vending machines, and everything else is taped off with caution tape and small blue penguin-like creatures telling you not to go any further. "It's dangerous, dood!" These penguins are running around with what look like building materials, ducking underneath the caution tape to start rebuilding an absolutely wrecked city.

One of the creatures stands in front of the hotel, "Welcome to Oceanside City, dood! Take these and don't lose them. Sorry the team leads couldn’t meet you yet, they’re busy..."

They hand you a bag with:

• A smartphone in a case of your team's color, emblazoned with the team's animal
• Change for the vending machines
• A boxed lunch

With that, the creature sends you on your way. Time to get to know your new home.

That's alright, it happens. This whole new place can be a little bit overwhelming.

I'm not. But then again, I could probably guess that most of us aren't from here either.

It looks more... advanced [ industrialised ] here.

It looks pretty normal to me, but I grew up in the city.

[ Even capsule hotels aren't strange to him. ]

Something like that. I don't suppose you have seen a giant snow-covered mountain filled with monsters anywhere near here, have you?

Monsters? Like bears? Uh, no. I can't say I have.

[ I'm so sorry to every fantasy who's going to have to explain everything to his normie ass. ]

And it doesn't snow a lot in Tokyo. I'd have to go down to Mount Fuji for a real snowy mountain.

I don't think we have bears. What we do have are hilichurls, slimes, Abyss Mages and well. I suppose a giant boar would count?

Ah, so it is something like Mondstadt then. It doesn't snow in the city, but it does up on the mountains?

[ I played Genshin in the worst way possible which was to get to Dragonspine as a lv16 Amber and solo'd down the giant Hilichurl miniboss there by the tree by kiting the hell out of it between lighting the lamp on fire for like a solid twenty minutes and I was rewarded with no drops. :amen: ]

Uh... no, sometimes it snows in the city, although Tokyo doesn't consistently get it every year, but...
