A warm welcome to new heroes!

You wake up in a bed, big enough to fit you, no matter your size. Mind your head as you remove yourself from the bed. Getting out of bed, you see dozens and dozens of identical capsule sized "rooms". It seems like it's just you and the other souls who've only recently arrived.

Your usual outfit is folded neatly in the capsule, and your item from home is set aside in your room. It seems whatever force brought you here decided to put you in a superhero themed kigu (Superman, Batman, Captain America, etc).

The lobby of the hotel is not staffed, but there is a single newspaper found in the seating area. There's not too much to explore outside of the capsule hotel at the moment. Just outside is a wall of vending machines, and everything else is taped off with caution tape and small blue penguin-like creatures telling you not to go any further. "It's dangerous, dood!" These penguins are running around with what look like building materials, ducking underneath the caution tape to start rebuilding an absolutely wrecked city.

One of the creatures stands in front of the hotel, "Welcome to Oceanside City, dood! Take these and don't lose them. Sorry the team leads couldn’t meet you yet, they’re busy..."

They hand you a bag with:

• A smartphone in a case of your team's color, emblazoned with the team's animal
• Change for the vending machines
• A boxed lunch

With that, the creature sends you on your way. Time to get to know your new home.

Nothing about this is normal, though. So.

...let's get something to eat. We're gonna need to keep our strength up if all of this is as weird as it seems right now.

[perennation]

I can wait it out until I see if people get sick.

[ Paranoia is at 10 right now, really. ]

[stunwhistle]

Okay, correction. We go to the vending machines, I'll grab something to eat, and then if enough time passes and I don't get sick you can grab something too.

[perennation]

[ His frown grows thin, cheeks puffed a bit before they deflate. ]

Fine.

[stunwhistle]

[onward to the vending machines! will... puffs his cheeks out a little at the selection. there's a variety of stuff, which is not a bad thing, but none of it is healthy.]

This is all great for snacking, but it's gonna be awful for our health if we have to keep eating like this for too long. [he bypasses the pizza vending machine because his italian boyfriend would probably muder him for eating it and goes for one of the egg salad sandwiches.] Well, here goes nothing.

[nom nom.]

Kitchen's pretty lacking, too. No groceries at all.

[ Well, he's here watching with his pink eyes. ]

[stunwhistle]

Just bagels and cream cheese, right? Which I guess is better than nothing, but it's not exactly a balanced meal either.

[he does not immediately gag on the egg salad sandwich. it tastes okay, despite being from a vending machine. he'll finish it off.]

And now we wait.

[it'll be totally fine though. it's just a mediocre sandwich, not a poisoned one.]

You'd prefer to be put back into your cubicle room if I find you suffering from a tummy ache?

[ Might as well be somewhat considerate. ]

[stunwhistle]

Nah, I gotta sleep there. If that happens, yeet me into the bathroom so I don't make a mess.

[perennation]

Can do. Just... try to hold it in on our way there, okay? I don't want to wear the onesie.
