Sunday morning starts off quietly enough, almost peaceful after the events of the past few days. Today, the alarm on everyone's phone starts at 12 PM, with a reminder of the execution to take place at 1 PM at the stadium. Unlike the Saturday notifications, however, this is the only reminder you get. It appears that attendance is not mandatory this time.

Well. Not for all of you, anyway. One of you feels a compulsion to head to the stadium, heading straight inside and following the staff to ready themselves for what's to come. All others who arrive at the stadium, hero or civilian, are led to spectator seating.

As the clock strikes 1 PM, Ace walks into the arena. On the opposite end of the field, Saya steps out to greet them. As long as they both live, neither will able to leave the area, nor will any outsiders be able to enter.

You don't have to watch, of course. That's your choice. But with the event being broadcast all over the city, it may be hard to avoid. In-person or across town, everywhere is buzzing with gossip of the newly discovered villain about to face justice. Regardless of where you go or whether you choose to watch, the only thing to do now is wait.

when saya walks out as well she just presses the knuckles of one hand to her mouth and folds her other arm tightly around her middle. ]

[ well. danny is sitting here, looking grim as ever, and tired and unhappy to boot. he knows he's going to hate this, and yet, he has to be here. ]

well, temenos is here, sans his usual cloak. he isn't particularly reactive as a person, but the second saya comes out, his expression darkens and he tenses, sitting very, very still. ]

One last kick in the teeth for the road, it seems.

[i cannot describe to you how fucking bad nimona looks today she's pale and small and stumbling down to the barrier to sit right up against it.

she's wearing a white cloak that's too big for her and a familiar hat, and she just doesn't make any noise at all when saya walks out. her eyes just faintly glow white.]

They only look worse when Saya steps in too. ]

[ there's a few important things to note when ace marches into today's arena. first, he's shirtless again! the titties have been freed. he's not wearing his hat, either. second, for some reason, shoujo sparkles and bubbles are following his every move.

...third, we are looking at an olympic sized diving pool. ]

... That's probably what I should've expected. [ he sounds like he almost finds it funny, though the anger laced through the words is far more potent. he doesn't stare at the pool for too long, because he looks at the sparkles and bubbles behind him and sort of sighs. they suddenly stop. ] Seriously, give a guy some dignity.

[ is that so much to ask. All that done, he finally turns to see who's being dragged into this, looking a little worried...

[ well. he's here. with will at his side as usual and holding his hand as he stares into middle distance and once again calculates what it'll take to blow up oceanside with his mind.

of course it could get worse. it always does. why the fuck wouldn't it? ]

[ she'll come over to stand close by. ]

[he is holding nico's hand tightly as he stares straight ahead to watch this. his other hand is sort of resting over his heart, and is clenched into a fist; he seems to be holding onto something.]

[ Rabbit is standing beside them. Placing a hand gently on their arm ]

[ danny gets up and starts approaching her out of concern...but then stops and goes back to his own seat, thinking better of it. ]

[ ...oof. this hurts to see and it doesn't feel like there's much of anything he can do about it. but he's keeping an eye on her. ]
