Early Friday morning, our heroes awaken to the moon setting, and finally, the freedom to leave the locations they fell asleep in the night before. It's a normal morning... if you ignore the sirens echoing through the city streets.

Police and prinnies have gathered in certain locations. With the sight of heroes giving them hope, they call upon you for help in searching for evidence, that we may all learn what happened on Thursday night.

So what are you waiting for? The investigation is yours.

Welcome, heroes, to your second investigation!

We will be posting top-levels for locations to be searched - one set at 6 PM EST / 3 PM PST and the second at 7 PM EST / 4 PM PST. Each block will run for two hours during which characters can search the locations for evidence related to the events of Thursday night, and each location will have something to find. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters.

Once the two hours are up - at 8 PM EST / 5 PM PST for block one and 9 PM EST / 6 PM PST for block two - threads will no longer receive mod tags and the investigation will conclude for the night. Whether you find everything is up to you, but don't worry if you don't! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial. At 9 PM EST / 6PM PST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s).

Looking at the corner, there is a pool of blood and a kitchen knife on the ground. ]

Is it. Someone or something, is there anything on the kennel to show what broke out like claw or...... finger..... marks.... Hm. Any blood? Where is the chain collar and leash, inside the kennel or outside?

Also, is it possible to peek inside the kennel to check the state of the interior without moving anything? And is the perfume scent coming from this?]

Anything obviously out of place at a glance? Any fires, or anything off about the entrance to the store?]

[ While Rita checks out the obvious things, assuming nothing is on fire or noticeably alarming, Adlet will take a look up at the ceiling and then down at the floor outside the store. ]

I wonder if they've gotten any further in setting things up in there...

[ This little ball is slightly smaller than a marble, and doesn't look stained. It does not open, and the plastic is hard.

If Saya looks carefully she can find one small scrap of paper on the shelves. ]

He’ll come over after inspecting the holding cells, looking to see if there’s possibly any signs of blood or damages done to the bars before he joins Temenos.

He then Looks at the blood. And the knife. And then at the fantasy Catholic beside him. ]

[ The leash is inside of the kennel while the collar is around the door to lock it shut. If he's looking carefully, he can spot some claw marks on the inside of the kennel from whatever broke out.

While there isn't blood or anything like that, there is a tuft of pink fur.

The perfume scent is coming from inside of the kennel! While investigating the kennel, Hans can see there is a motion detector camera pointed at the kennel itself. ]

[ after somehow bypassing whatever the fuck is going on at the pet store i guess, since he KEEPS DOING THIS EVERY WEEK

i'm not sure if we're talking about the hallway immediately in front of the store or the mall leading up to it so he'll look around the latter as he heads that way. anything notable as he goes that direction? ]

is there a storage room? a bathroom? if not, she's just gonna whole ass climb on top of the checkout counter to see if she spots anything on the tops of the shelves or anything weird that they haven't noticed yet, with a higher vantage point.]

if there's nothing here, he'll follow his nose. is there a particular trail that the perfume makes through the store? before it hits the kennel? is there any access to the security cameras or employee only area that the camera might be hooked up to? ]

[ immediately obvious is that everything is a mess, inside the bookstore and out! there's stuff absolutely everywhere, except the ceiling. the ceiling is fine.

[So nice of Reigen and Ace, taking Danny to the Halloween store!

They can try to peek through the windows! It's actually easier to reach the windows here because all the bushes in front of it have been crushed flat. This window has broken glass for some season though. And it looks like the building isn't on fire, probably.]

[ Meanwhile Ponta is going to pocket the mystery ball and then start rifling through all the kitchenware that is on the floor. He's just kicking it aside to check any spots on the ground that were covered up so far. ]

once a picture is taken, he'll kneel down to carefully pick up the knife with the corner of his cloak so he doesn't touch it or smear anything on it. +1 knife for the priest! ] A kitchen knife, it seems.

Somebody broke in? [maybe they just demanded halloween decor. anyway its touch week so he kind of just puts on arm on ace's shoulder real quick because he's happy he's alive and then takes it away.

he's going to check out those bushes, then. is there anything notable about them besides being crushed flat? can he see the shape they were crushed in? is there anything in the bushes?]

[ There is no storage room here, and no bathroom either. She is free to climb upon the checkout counter. There is nothing on the top of the shelves. From here, Saya can see that the store is a mess.

Ponta's kicking will reveal a larger torn piece of paper. ]

[Rita sees the other two join in and glances away from them without saying a word in greeting. Just tsundere things.

She's going in! Looking at the floor as she enters -- what kind of mess is this? Anything stick out, amidst the mess? Or any stains/damage/whatever on the floor itself?]

Well, first of all he’s going to motion to Hung about the motion detector camera because like. He can see that it is pointed here and that it is camera-shaped but that is where his perception score begins and ends.]

I’m guessin’ that’s a camera but they ain’t all that reliable nights like the last, is what I’m told.

What size are the claw marks, how deep are they, are they all towards the front of the kennel? Also, fur examination... does this look anything like cat fur? Otherwise we’ll have to do some more furensics.]

Why break into this place? [ he barely knows halloween why is he even here. he'll go over to the window, checking to make sure he doesn't step on glass so he can peer in. about how badly broken is this window because if it's a big enough hole he is going right through it to get inside ]
